Sorry for the double post but this is what I've been using for the past couple of days (hence why it looks nasty as s***)
It's called the slinky coil. 24 gauge nichrome again (I love that stuff) and this time I wrapped each coil like a normal 5/6 microcoil around my favorite screwdriver so that the leads are pointing in opposite directions. Once I have each coil finished, what I do is pull on each lead and stretch out the coil evenly until it is about 1" long. To install the
coils, you have to insert each lead of each coil from opposite sides of the poles so that they both cross over in parallel.
Note: MAKE SURE THE COILS DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING BUT THE HOLES THEY ARE MEANT TO BE IN OR ELSE YOU WILL EITHER
A: pop a coil or both (VERY annoying)
B: blow up your battery
C:make other parts of your device fail
SO MAKE SURE YOU'RE CAREFUL.
