I think everyone should have one of these. Beautiful simplicity. Feels solid. Battery lasts forever, on/off, voltage(you get what you get). This is a take anywhere inexpensive hard knock PV. A great backup. A lot of bang for your buck.

Actually the voltage isnt you get what you get on the updated newest switch on the Ego-T 18650 mod,,, its a click 5 times and when the light blinks you hold it down, it will then turn orange and to a regulated 3.3 or 3.4v,,,, then you can click 5 more times and when it blinks hold down and the light will blink white then you are at whatever voltage your Batt is at.,,, you should see what switch head you have the newer one or older one, the newer switch head on the Ego-T 18650 mod is a decenet system being able to switch back and forth from regulated to non regulated, see which one ya got and let us know ;)

I'm with you oxygen, I have several. I've now picked up a few new toys I like better, but this is my backup. It's also the device that let me actually stop smoking cigarettes. For $20 you can't go wrong. The v2 head is the better by far though, I think it's like 12$ and I've seen them offered with the v2 head in the same price range 20-25$. I've had an aw imr 3100 last for a full 2 days no problem also. Oh well you can tell, I'm a fan this device with a ego mega dual coil carto is the ultimate no muss,no fuss go all day vape machine. But I agree, everyone should have one! Or two;)

Btw you can tell the v2 controller from the original by the finish, it's kind of satiny, while the regular controller is straight stainless color.

Right mwa. I just got this and it had the original switch so I spaced that out. I would hold the button down for up to ten seconds and nothing. Frustrating. I have the upgrade on the way. But I really like this, it feels so much better in the hand than Twists etc. I love the twist and both of these and many others show how ridiculously cheap a person can get into vaping. As long as you don't go crazy buying stuff(hides head in shame)you can save tons of money, have a decent little PV, and do your lungs a huge favor. I love this stuff!

What is it?

Sorry, a Joyetech ego-t 18650 mod. I've been using it and the Twist alternating for 3 days and the battery has a long ways to go. Charging the Twist for me was maybe every 3 hours at best. Both great and you can get one for way less than a carton of carcinogens.

Nice. And I'm glad it's working for you. I like the fact that joye is making swappable battery mods. Wasn't fond of the proprietary connector idea though. Particularly since they used or invented the now nearly standard 510 connector. Overall it looks like a decent APV with 5-click protection and an optional PWM regulation.

Which connector is on this one?

510. It uses all cartos, vivi's, suckdust I mean Stardusts. I'm good at minutia but little else so I wonder why the 510 connection isn't just called the standard connection since everyone says this or that uses a 510 connection. I guess it would be confusing.

Synthros, you had better take another look at that AW 3100 it is NOT an IMR, Biggest AW IMR made is a 2000mAh,,, THE AW-3100 is a good batt though but NOT an IMR as far as I knowl

Panasonic makes a 2250 IMR, available in two places that I know of. This though, being my favorite supplier, is the one that I have chosen to link. They work great. I've been using them since May, along with many others (there are threads here on ECF to that effect).

I realized this morning that there was one thing that I should point out, if you're planning on using the Panny's in a ProVari. They are slightly longer than the AW's. They fit and work perfectly well, except if you also use one of those "2 Cents for Safety" fuses. I do not (don't see the value with the device and IMR batteries), but that will present a problem if you do.

I have some coming from DV, most likely today. Is that where you ordered from? I KNOW the Orbtronics ones work fine (I've used a BUNCH), but I haven't TESTED DV's yet. They supposedly the same batteries, but I'll test them upon receipt and post back here.

I ordered some last night. I don't use the fuse so hopefully they work okay.

All,

I must apologize for doing something I normally wouldn't. There IS a problem with the sizing of the Discount Vapers batteries. I should have NOT posted that link until I tested them and could state WITH CERTAINTY that they are fine. Unfortunately, they are not. I feel TERRIBLE about this. I have a message into Eric at DV. I know that he may have received additional orders (other than Spicy's) as a result of my post. I've made him aware of the issue and am hoping he catches any orders prior to shipping them.

For those still looking for Panny's that WILL fit a ProVari, please use THIS link instead:
New! Panasonic CGR18650CH With Top Button, 2250mAh IMR High Drain 18650 Battery Cell-Made in Japan

I can assure you that THESE are FINE (unless you use that Vape Safe fuse - in which case they are too long). THESE are the ones that I've been using since May and should NEVER have posted the DV link prior to testing.

Again, I feel VERY BAD about this and hope I didn't cause anyone too dearly. If so, please let me know so I can grovel in person.

Dave

All,

I have spoken with Eric. IF you ordered the Panny's from him (Discount Vapers), please send him a note and ask him to cancel the order. He's aware of the issue and is investigating it now. I can see he has the correct model number, so the size difference is definitely a cause for both curiosity and concern.

Thanks / Dave
