everything tastes like crap!

The following as labeled are 2 of the cartos that i am having problems with. I took pics of them completely unwrapped but as i seem to be having a million problems with these cartos i am not really sure what a good one should look like. I have noticed that the top coil looks darker then the bottom not sure if that is normal and the inner wrap over the coils on one of them was super loose.


I did get some distilled water and added about 10 drops to a 5ml bottle it did make it thinner but didnt help the taste.

also to add Ms T's snickerdoodle is thicker in consistency then the QN watermelon rancher not sure why that isnt giving me problems.

If anyone has a chance to PM me and explain how exactly these dcc's create vapor that would be fantastic. super interested now that I tore a few apart

The DCCs work pretty much like all cartos in that the liquid transfers from the polyfill to the socks around the coil, where it's heated and atomized and funnelled through the center hole. The primary difference between dual coils (and certain other cartos) and normal cartos is that the coils run vertically through the length of the carto rather than sit on the bottom, so they get access to more juice.

Greater discoloration on the top oil isn't unusual as the top coil usually dries up before the bottom one, so juice gets caked on sooner. This will happen quicker still if you tend to stand your PV on its end, as the juice will settle to the bottom. Topping up more frequently can help alleviate this issue.

Unfortunately I can't help with what might be causing the issue. The coils look pretty clean to me, though it does look like there's some burnt juice at the top of the wrap in your third picture, so maybe that might be it. Have you rinsed out the polyfill and the coils?

nope i didnt rinse them i got ...... and threw them away. frustrated that i cant find the issue. my favorite closest to all day juice tastes like poop.

Thinking about it harder it is a new bottle i just got but it tastes so good the first few puffs. im going to fill a cart for my joye 510 and try it out though i hate that thing.

k the joye 510t system tastes like poo but not burnt poo just very little taste. im going to email Rich from Quicknic and have him check this thread out

on another note not only does my Ms Ts snickerdoodle taste good (which i am about out of and hoping my 30ml gets here this week) Brents (hoosier's) Banana creme is pretty delicious too. so not all is lost. And I lit an analog and bout threw up. My husband was eating and demanded I spray the room with some febreeze lol. So even burnt ... taste is better then my analogs

I tried. Thanks for trying to thin it. If that doesn't work, and it's not that particular juice.... IDK.

On a brighter note... that juice will prolly work well with dripping if you have an atty around. The lime juice I have that burns is good for dripping, just have to keep it real wet.

lol ill get it worked out. I emailed Rich from Quicknic and he got right back to me. he mentioned that he had problems with a carto once and it was because he didnt let the carto sit for awhile after filing it. I typically do NOT let my watermelon sit as im in a huge hurry to vape it. I just filled another new carto with it and will see if that works before i give up

For all the talk of cartomizer convenience, I feel that everyone should learn how to use an atomizer and drip.
That way you always have a fallback (that never fails) for when you are having a bad cartomizer day.

working on the whole dripping thing too ill get there amazingly almost all of my juice is tasting tasty besides my watermelon. Thing is I just passed down my 808 kit to my cousin to help her quit smoking and filled a standard carto with it for her and tasted like .... too. so idk but for now i guess im happy with my kbv flavors though i hated all of them the first day i got them in the mail. much better after a week or so.

This is normal. For a long term vape, try cherry. Lots of good ones out there.

nope my kiddo picked it up at our post office as I live in a tiny little town and they dont deliver to me. and with 1 day shipping time (seller and I are both in IL) I dont think it could have gotten hurt in shipping. Rich QN sent me another bottle i hope that it was just a bad bottle somehow.

I find it amazing how awesome the vendors in this industry are. I honestly feel kindof bad that while we are not sure of what the problem is both have offered to send new equipment. I will remember how great you both have been.

Both Brent (hoosierecigsupply) and Rich (quicknicjuice) have both done the same for me. Maybe that is why I have no problem recommending them to everybody.

I'm looking for a good cherry too! Rockstar has a good candy flavor grape but they don't have plain cherry, just wild cherry, which I didn't particularly like. Good luck in your quest. One poster suggested Dekang but I'd rather stay here and support American enterprise.

Hey, just wanted to post something that I figured out with my Kgo. (I don't think anyone suggested this earlier on). When I first used my 510LR atomizers with it, I got a terrible burnt taste and the atomizer became unusable. I destroyed 2 atomizers this way. Now someone on here said that it's important that enough cool air gets into the atomizer to keep it from overheating. So, I tried vaping without the cone on and Presto! No more problems. Tattogirl, maybe you should try vaping that watermelon that didn't work for you again without the cone on.

Vapors Etc Very Cherry and Vermillion Rivers Mystic Cherry are the best candy type Cherry flavors that I have tried I think that Vapors Etc has their Very Cherry as a flavor of the week through Sunday which makes it $5 for 15 ml and $10 for 30 ml. Good luck!

i bought some of the 1.7ohm single coil resurrectors from crystal clear vaping and the watermelon still tastes off to me. it could just be that my tastebuds were off from smoking when i liked it? lol idk but im fully enjoying snickerdoodle right now. Ill keep searching for awesome fruit flavors or someday just make my own. Checking out very cherry if its on sale ill snag a bottle. thanks!
