Everything tastes burnt at 4.2 volts and higher?

So it seems no matter what juice I use or what ohm heads/cartos I use, everything tastes burnt at higher then 4.2.
Is that normal?
I'm using my ego twist with a mini vivi nova and a dct carto tank?
Am I doing something wrong?

Same here. Most of the time my eGo-Twist is set lower than normal standard 3.7. The Twist really convinced me that those who keep chasing that ultimate vape with more and more power are actually chasing a burn.

When you say "dct", I'm assuming you are meaning dual coil carto (DCC). If so and the DCC is 1.5 - 2.0 ohms, they just won't work on an ego twist due to the weak 2.5 amp switch they use on the twist. PV's such as the Vamo, Provari, etc have much better switches than the twist and can use just about any carto or atty without a problem. I use 1.5 ohm DCC's on the Vamo (5 amp switch) and they work great at 4.2 volts and higher. No burning at all. The twist has limitations, unfortunately.

Haha. Right?! I see some people vape at 5 and higher! That's crazy. Granted I'm sure they have a provari but still...

Many of us vape DCC's at 4.5 - 5.0 volts or 11.5 - 12.5 watts with no burning what so ever. Just nice warm vapor. You just have to have a good model PV with a robust switch. Ego's just don't provide that unfortunately.

In that case, I would not go over 4.2 volts. Really hard to say without knowing what the ohms are with the devices you have tried. I am running a 2.5 ohm Vision STV on my spinner at 4.6 to 4.7 with no problems.

Running 2 mini vivi novas. One at 1.8 and the other is 2.4. Then I have a dct carto tank. I think its at 2.0

You could get the hottest mod on the market right now, the Vamo, for $40. With charger and batteries, if you don't already have them, add an additional $32. It's variable wattage and has a 5 amp switch so you would have no problem with your DCC's.. In comparison to the twist batteries that run $25+, the Vamo batteries cost $11. You save money in the long run.

2.0 ohm low-resistance single coil cartos @ 3.8 volts have given me 110% optimal flavor and vapor production. I own seven VV devices (one of which is VW), and I stay locked in at 3.8 volts (or 6.5 watts when using my VW). But that's just me.

I have a cheaper VV as well and it's the same for me. It's a pro or a vamp for me once I save a bit, one month of just juice and a few coil heads will be more then enough to save up for a vamo.
