Everything tastes plasticy synthetic

Getting close to a month in and my vape doesn't taste good any more. Everything has a plasticy synthetic taste with a hint of whatever flavor I'm using. I've got several flavors from Awesome vapor and a couple from Backwoods Brew and it's the same story with all of 'em. Sometimes with the first few vapes, things taste ok but that's short lived.

I'm using a Joye 510. I've gotten new atty's, cleaned the old ones, cleaned the carts and washed out the poly fill with water and let it dry before trying again.

I've been searching for a 5v and have come close to pulling the trigger, but don't wanna do it until I'm sure the bad taste isn't me.

Any ideas??? I really luv vaping and don't want it to turn into a miserable experience!!!

Sounds like your taste buds went south on you...from what I read it is temporary...and normal....some days I feel like that...that's when I vape something like cinnabomb.(my fav)..or a cinnamon..(something strong).breaks thru to the taste buds...hth....

It happens,Your tastebuds just go off for a while.It will pass.The best solution Ive found is Tasty vapors Atomic Cinicide.It will wake them up.Some people go with a strong menthol,but I dont like menthol at all.

I hope you're right. I'm about to pull the trigger on the same GLV2 5V that you picked up.

There is nothing like A/C at 5v!!

You might be getting that taste from the polyfill cartridge filler?
Try dripping without using the cartridge filler and see if you still get that taste.

why dont you try a no plastic filler and cart setup with your existing 510 batt, LR atty, and a steel drip tip just to see if the "plasticy synthetic" taste still pushes through? better yet try an eGo battery at 3.7V + LR atty will get you kind of near to the 5v experience at a cheaper cost compared to getting a high volt mod.

Menthol ejuice worked or me a few days ago. I vaped nuport for half of the day and disliked it (even though that was my brand as a smoker and swore that's what I would want for my ejuice). Couldn't wait to get back to my fruits and deserts but when I did the taste was back!! Good luck!

You all should try the juices from FreedomSmokeUSA they get even better with age... they are mixed the day you order them... They have a wide variety of flavors and are always coming up with new yummy flavors...

Would you mind posting anything that you find that helps the problem with the bad/no taste.

By the way, I think you will really like vaping at 5 volts!

Yeah following advice here menthol flavors did the trick trough that fase for me, I bought some menthol crystal and now I add a few to all my juices, must add that I always hated menthol analogs.

I was having this same effect. Although I just started today, but this is working for me. I finally get a hit that won't choke/gag me. I just put a couple of drops straight on the addy and put the cap back on and puff away.

i would definately go with atomic cinacide from tv, it is awesome and will kick your taste buds into action!!!! one of my fav. vapes

What helps me:
1) Drink lots of water, vaping pg dehydrates you, i.e. cotton mouth
2) Chew gum with xylitol, it helps to keep the juices flowing
3) Vape a stronger than normal liking liquid
4) Change up your flavors
5) Drip
6) Brush your teeth more often/scrape the tongue
7) Exhale through the nose and french inhale, this enhances your tastes
8) Wait it out...your tastebuds WILL emerge again...hang in there

Been there and menthol was the only flavor I had to get me through. Anything with a strong spice/mint flavor should be ok till your taste buds get back to normal.
