Thanks Screwbag... I own an herbal store, so zinc lozenges are something I have on hand... I'm willing to try anything! A little ginger, a litttle lemon, throw in a zinc lozenge and BAM - everything is tasting yummy again!!!

The store is another reason to quit smoking. I felt so bad teaching my customers how to be healthy, then sneaking off for a smoke.. I love my PV!

I like the lemon in water idea... Plus, it's healthy for me (raising my bodies Ph level)..
Thanks goes to my nose surgeon. As soon as I told him I'd quit smoking/ started vaping we sat down for an hour and I explained the art of vaping. Was very fruitful as he gave me some great advice from a medical perspective in regards to issues I might encounter. A perfect example for the Medical Profession on how a Doctor should react/ participate when a client begins vaping.
Also agree subliminal is a far superior way to allow the body to absorb "most" vitamins.

If the atomizer is making vapor, it's working. Those things are tough! Your tastebuds are just off temporarily. Don't sweat it.

Whew, thx. I was wondering the exact same thing!

I had the same problem for a while but I started shaking my juices before filling and all is well

Good tip, will have to give it a go!

are those where the pharmacist just whispers in your ear "vitamin c..vitamin c..." ?

Just kidding. I assume you meant sublingual? As in under the tongue?

And of course good hydration is always a good idea, vaping or not...

LOLLLL I began some heavy duty research into vitamins and other associated when my mother was diagnosed with dementia.

Great eye...
In regards to B12 if taken orally only 5% is absorbed whereas if taken sublingual/ under the tongue 90- 95% enters the system. After all this research my wife and I no longer buy our vitamins at the regular pharmacy but at a specialty store as most of the vitamins, especially brand name, were absolute garbage- terrible low grade ingredients, wrong/ low doses. Very disgusted. Regarding my Mother since having her take mega doses/ injections of B12 she has shown remarkable improvement. Her Dr. originally disagreed with the injections but now, grudgingly, agrees she has gone from a 4 out of 10 to a 9/ 10...More shocking her "Dr" is supposedly world renowned in the care of the elderly :censored:

hi!

just got done reading a thread about shaking juices before filling. try it, maybe that's the thing. But I will say, day before yesterday nothing I vaped tasted good. Today, everything is delish. Smell has a lot to do with taste. Is your nose clogged?

Vapira

I was going to say the same thing. Clear out the sinuses and you’ll be good to go. I have experienced the same problem. One thing that I noticed from switching from chewing tobacco (yeah, I know it’s disgusting) to vaping, is an increase in nasal congestion. I have a theory as to why this is happening.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a scientist. In college I changed majors after 2 years from biochemistry to psychology, so I probably have just enough knowledge of science to be dangerous or to successfully spread misinformation.

Remember cilia from high school biology? They are the hair-like protuberances from the cells that line your airways. Their job is to push obstructions (usually mucus) out of your air passages. Well, nicotine is a poison and it temporarily paralyzes the cilia it comes into contact with. Thus, smokers have difficulty expelling the mucus in their lungs and even have a cough named after them. I’ve noticed that while vaping I don’t shy away from inhaling or exhaling vapor through my nose like I did while smoking the occasional cigarette. It smells good and doesn’t make it so that all you can smell is smoke for the rest of the day. So, my theory is that this increased exposure of the cilia in my nasal passages to nicotine has undermined their ability to do their job and thus I become congested. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Just playing "analog" advocate for a second here. Sometimes I think the negatives of vaping equal out with cigarettes. Of course we all know the consequences of smoking but I had a wicked episode with vaping last weekend. I got a killer headache and my fingers stomach face and feet were pulsating like crazy. For a second I thought I was a goner. Turns out the e juice that's supposed to be 18mg was closer to 42mg. I won't name the company.

If you use a kind of flavor for a long time, after a while you do not feel the taste! want more of the alternate day will remain a continuous experience.
when it happened to me, I asked my love to taste. she is perfectly what I felt I should have. I was advised I use a different one and he was right. If you are using varied will not be a problem.

Yea, I wonder if some juices lose a little flavor after awhile myself, although they are suppose to get better in time. I do shake all the time as well. But, I did get the "dead buds" about 4 months after vaping! It lasted like 2 weeks! But, it came back. I used a heavy menthol, bought a tongue scraper, and drank tons of water.

That's sucks. Luckily nicotine isn't super toxic and an overdose rarely has long-term effects. I think nicotine related deaths are really rare--you'd have to drink a bottle of juice. Hmmm... that does get me to thinking though. I really need to be careful about where I leave my vaping supplies with a 2-year-old in the house. Not that I've been careless about it, but I don't think the caps on the 30ml bottles are childproof. Maybe I'll get a lockbox or something.

i have been feeling the same funk. i got some free samples from atomic vapors. Atomic apple, naughty navel, and a new one purple drank. The last one tasted good, but mellow, so i tried naughty navel and could faintly taste orange, and the apple i tasted cool. I saw a review and the guy was pleased with them, also i told the company and they said they shouldn't need to be steeped. Also TVR french vanilla is so light that it almost ...... me off! So i guess that i will just have to vape for the nicotine instead of for the flavor and everything else until my buds come back boo hoo

I've been having this on and off for two weeks. I'm pretty sure I've figured out the cause for me: the wicking in the atomizer and juice types.

I removed the wicking and bridge in the atomizer, and the taste/flavor started coming back within a couple hours. I think the wicking gets "Gunk" as other people have suggested and this gunk *re-burns* as you heat it. Imagine a cooking pan with oil that is never cleaned, the oil hardens, blackens, then imparts a burnt/acid taste to the food. I believe this process actually creates acidic pH levels that in turn cause mild acid burns in the mouth. I used to fight forest fires and breathing that smoke or even steam would do the same thing. Search Youtube for videos on how to "de-wick" the atomizer and remove the bridge if you drip (not with cartos).

Also, some juice does this, not sure if it's the company, or the PG, or the flavor, but two vendors (Virgin Vapers, Aroma ejuice) never cause a problem for me, so I'm sticking with them after much searching. There might be others vendors, but I think people that use higher quality or home-extracted flavors might be the key given that so many other vendor flavors cause trouble for me.

Take probiotics to restore natural flora in mouth, drink Kefir, eat yogurt, and take a tums before you sleep. When you wake up, it should be gone. I had it for 3 days, removed the wick/bridge and watched what juice I used and I was fine later that evening.
