Does anyone know of a good liquid that actually tastes somewhat like a cigarette? I have tried a few different tobacco juices, I have yet to find one that is close to a cigarette. Some of them have a tobacco scent, but not taste unfortunately. My vaping tastes might be temporarily out of whack, but everything has been tasting really sweet, and it's not a good thing, I have tried different attys and cartridges to see if it will go away but it hasn't.

I agree that many juices do taste a little too sweet, probably because of suppliers adding glycerine to their mixes to increase vapour production, nothing wrong there, I do it myself with my DIY juices but they do need to counter that extra sweetness. I think TW use pepper in their red bottle juices, certainly tasted like it to me. Anyway, many of the Dekang Chinese juices don't taste sweet, Winston and Turkish blend are two decent tobacco flavours but the best tobacco I've had have been OKSmokey's juices which aren't sweet at all though I'm more of a coffee person, even their Vanilla isn't that sweet.

TW m/boro liquid was a nice crisp dry smoke but now its like smoking a jellybaby. My favorite flavor is usa-mix from ecis direct, I use this every time only I noticed the liquid is now darker/denser and not as good as it used to be, maybe its just old stock and they need a fresh batch? All you can do is try as many samples as possible and you may get lucky but once you found the right juice dont count on it been the same in the future.

There's no such thing as a juice that tastes like a cigarette, and it took me a while to adjust to the sweetness of e-juice too. Eventually you'll find some that you like - just experiment with some different vendors/different flavours. There are some excellent "tobacco" flavours to be had.

Try flavourless if you hate the sweet flavours. Obviously it doesn't taste like a cigarette but since its a neutral vape, its great to use all day.

This is true. I've vaped plain VG once and there's nothing sweet about it at all. Course there's no flavour either. So I tend to believe it's the added flavourings that cause the sweetness. I've never vaped plain PG though, so can't comment on whether it's sweet by itself or not.

There are a couple of things that would your liquid not taste sweet...
1. Your using just plain PG juice.
2. Your atomizer needs cleaning or you need a new one
3. Your battery/atomizer combination is running a bit on the hot side which tends to kill the flavor a bit but produces warmer vapor, better throat hit. A cooler atomizer produces cooler smoke and more flavor. That's what the 901 was designed to do, run cooler, more flavor. The 501 was designed to run a bit hotter, giving you more throat hit but you get a bit less flavor.

Other atomizers are in between somewhere. I run my atomizer on one of my 901 mods at a higher voltage which now I get the best of both worlds. I'll be posting the mod soon. I'm still doing testing on it but is going very well. Lots of taste and throat hit with large amount of vapor. I've been shooting for that for a long time and have finally achieved it.

I still get the sweet taste with the mod but I like the flavor and most of my juices I use have VG in them.

By itself, it doesn't taste sweet but for some reason when you mix it with a flavor, it sweetens it up. I don't know why but I have mixed my own quite a few times and noticed this effect. The flavors I use have no sweetners in them at all, just the flavor. Adding VG makes them sweet. Again, not sure why.

You're right, Puck. See my comment above, which I edited to this effect.

Yep, cool, you're right on track. I did try plain PG by itself and it had no taste either. Adding a flovir didn't seem to be sweet either.

I found some info on using glycerin as a sweetner from a website....

Glycerine is an alcohol (glycerol) and is used as a preservative in the food industry, as well as a sweetener: it is very sweet, yet it contains no sugar. This makes it an ideal sweetener for patients who cannot take sugar, such as the increasing number of Candida sufferers. Vegetable glycerine is said to be the "only acceptable sweetener" for Candida patients. Here are a couple of healthy recipes...

So if anyone is wondering why all of their juice taste sweet, it most likely has VG in it.

If you don't like things too sweet, my reviews of tobacco flavours all comment on the sweetness or not (including aftertaste).

They are here (Liberty Flights branded Dekang juice)

and here (other brand Dekang, and juices from a number of other suppliers/makers):

I've found most suppliers of the "Virginia" tobacco flavor tastes like analog tobacco to me, and I know the myfreedomsmokes Stepwolves does. I'm guessing the Kent and Winston probably does too. I found I prefer the sweeter tobacco tastes like 555, Ry4, B&H, and Hilton. I've tasted the Turkish tobacco from a few places, and it does have a little sweetness to it.

If you are looking for alternate flavors that aren't sickenly sweet, I've found nhaler's high voltage juice to be flavorfull but not too sweet.

I agree with this comment.

The RY4 and 555 from them are much less sweet than other brands.
They both have a deep tobacco undertone with subtle flavors.
And the Kent is not sweet at all.
