EVERYTHING (well, the few I've tried, I'm just frustrated) leaks. Why? Do what? Help?

Hello. I'm trying really really hard to not give up on e-cigs, but I keep having issues with leaks. I've asked a few places on here and either I get no response or, in the case of the eRoll, the majority say they don't have leaks.

Is elevation an issue? I'm at 3,500. I get leaks even when I stay here for days, but I do often travel between 500 and 3,500 elevation.

Gear: eRoll. (I've tried 3 different batteries, 2 chargers, numerous tanks, cones, attys - thought it was the battery. Nope.) Floods the atty, leaks in or out of the charger, usually out the bottom of the cone. If in the charger there's usually a line of liquid. This is NOT just condensation.

Currently fussing with: EGO Twist. Tried whatever crap my friend gave me with it for about half a second, tasted awful and leaked from bottom and top, tossed it. Tried Vision Clearomizer (not sure exactly what type, sorry) - It always wanted to unscrew from the bottom so liquid would go everywhere, but worse was that I couldn't lay it down even for a second, all the liquid would start to drain out the tip. Tried Texas Tuff tank. Took it out of truck to show a friend how great e-cigs were and the chocolate liquid had (almost full tank) drained completely out all over it. I'm sure there was a good seal at least at one point. I had used it within half an hour of getting to her house, within an hour of showing her. It was fine then. Went to a B&M store and talked about my issue, he said try Kanger ProTank. Worked great the first day. Had it standing almost upright last night, saw a bit of liquid dripping down this morning. Cleaned that up. Noticed it gurgling. Unscrewed it - liquid all over the threads and dripping off of the ... pretty little thing for EGOs, forget what it's called :D Thought I remembered someone saying they had some leaks with it, so they stored theirs upside down, so I put it upside down for 10-30 minutes. Leaked out the tip. I have it on it's side now, just waiting to see where it will leak from.

Liquids - VapeDudes 100% VG that comes in 10mL bottle. When it arrives there's a little bit of room at the top so I add 1mL distilled water. It mixes just fine, I always shake before filling tanks.

I am somewhat competent with computers - but anything else when it comes to physical things like technology and/or mechanics - I suck at. So I'm completely aware that this is very likely something I'm doing wrong. I just don't know what.

I keep saying I know how to work a lighter and breathe. But my lungs really do prefer ecigs. Help! What am I doing wrong or what is 100% leakproof?

Thank you, in advance.

Nothing you'll find is going to be completely leakproof, if you're looking for a tank. Part of the problem with tanks is that they're designed to sort of flow the liquid through. Because of that, they have to have a ventilation to get air in, and liquid out. I used to be a big fan of DCTs (Dual Coil Tanks) before I switched to rebuildables, they worked great for me once I got the feel of the liquid flow. I suspect that the tanks you're using have a similar design.

One thing that a lot of people do when they switch to vaping, is that they want to suck on it like a cigarette. It's not a cigarette though, and when you suck too hard, you're sucking the juice out of the tank. The result is that you'll either get a blast in the face, or it'll break the seal and start dripping/pouring all over the place. It's all about the vacuum that's inside the tank. You need to be gentle with it. Only draw as much as you need to get vapor, sometimes you have to sort of relax and let the vapor come to you. It's much more satisfying once you get used to it.

If that doesn't work for whatever reason, I would suggest that you get some cartomizers. They hold a ton less, and you have to refill them frequently, or carry multiples to get through the day. But they won't leak. The filler inside more or less prevents that.

The elevation might have something to do with it, but probably not that much. I'd suggest cleaning one of them up, and then practicing the gentle suction. You have to make sure that you're not over drawing it, otherwise you'll break the seal and then it all comes out.

Cheers.
