evic error -cannot connect with hardware equipment

help or advise please!!! got evic and mvr running on my old p.c. laptop. that laptop is on way out and i have a mac. i was able to load mvr on it but if i plug in the evic i get "cannot connect with hardware equipment" now is that cause i was using it on a p.c and now im on mac ???? do i need to use reset factory code on evic and load firmware again ect cause its on mac??? -cheers

Did you download and install MVR 1.2 for MAC?
Are your drivers up to date?

Nothing is wrong with the eVic. Never assume.

yup - 1.2 for mac.. so update drivers on mac?

try screen-free your pc first..dont open MVR before plug-in your evic..
plug your evic,then your pc should auto-detect it..
i have this issue before,n that solution kept it working everytime now..
if not,maybe uninstall n re-install your mvr again..

p/s: make sure your MVR file is fully-downloaded.

What version of OSX are you using? The downloadable MVR doesn't work on 32 bit Snow Leopard. They will send you an updated version for SL if you ask.

I noticed on the PC version that I had to install the 1.0 1st. then update to 1.2 in order for the pc to recognize the evic.

No problem. They will send it compressed, so you will need an unstuff program.
