I just put the 1.8ohm head on from the 2.5ohm wow so much better! Im at 3.4V/6.1W and its killing 2.5ohm at 3.96V/6.3W. Using an EVOD head in a Protank btw, Evods not firing on my Evic :( so this is the first time ive used a low ohm on anything but an ego 650.

I feel like its all about the Amps, maybe i should get the 1.5ohm heads? Anyone use them yet?

Not sure you understand what is going on.
You are only talking .2w difference. There was something going on with the 2.5 coil. Maybe pushed to one side or getting clogged up.
My preferred vape is about 7w and no matter which coil I'm running the vape is real close. Fruits I may back down to 6.8w

2.5, 1.8, 1.5 should all yield near results at or near a predetermined wattage.

Im talking about the warmer vape im getting from the lower ohm coil. Ive gone through 4 or 5 2.5ohm heads and they were all a cooler vape even at a higher wattage, even tho it is a slight difference. I moved it back up to 6.3 and its not burning on me with the 1.8ohm at this point. The range in ohms on the heads all create a different circuit, as the lower the ohms the higher the current. This also means there is something physically different about the coils (thicker guage, shorter length, etc)

I couldnt get my protank 2.5ohm over 6.4 without burning, i havent tried with the 1.8ohm, i feel like burning flavor means my head will fail faster, so i try to avoid it at all costs. Definitely like that the vapor is now noticeable warmer and i feel like im getting a better pull, could be imagination on the pull but not the vapor temp, which is obviously slightly warm

Pretty sure my juices burn easily as ive never been able to hit the wattage others use with the same devices. I tried a couple different vendors but the same result. I do tend to take 6-7s draws, and have tried 6.5W but it starts to burn on pulls over 5ish seconds.

Does anyone else find their protank and evic top get really hot when using the 1.5 ohm heads? 6-7w

Thats what i was looking for, some experiences with the 1.5ohm heads too since i love the 1.8ohm in comparison to 2.5ohm. Are you chain vaping when it gets hot or is it almost immediate? Have you been using 1.5 heads long?

Been using the 1.5 ohm evod heads for about a week and a half. Within about 2-3 5 second vapes it gets very warm. By 6 Vapes it's hot.

Yeah i was using 2.5ohm Protank heads(bought a 5 pack with the Protank) Just ran through them and i heard the evod heads work great, so i threw one of my 1.8ohm Evod heads in for a go. I feel like its a little warmer and i like the draw better. Just a better experience overall for me.

Draw is tighter, can be a plus, depending on what you prefer. 1.8ohm/warmer> with eVic is not an issue. eVic adjustment allows for same warm Vape at any reasonable Ohm, 1.5-3.0ohm. Now, on an Ego fixed Battery it would make a big difference.

Never had any problems with the top getting hot on the Pro tanks, and I have been running 1.5 coils lately. Now the evod gets warm quite a bit easier. But never had it get uncomfortably hot at the mouth piece.

BTW, I have had some issues with the evod heads on the pro tank. Depending on the mod, it could short out due to the center post being wider. Not all, just some. Just a heads up....

Yeah i think it was just the brand new head tricking me. It has cooled off significantly after a day. I was thinking maybe the evod heads threw a warmer vape with the smaller post and different draw, but not so much. These heads are really warm off my ego 650s in my evods in comparison. I kind of wish my evods would fire on this thing. On the bright side im at 6.5 watts and not burning anything yet

Mind if i ask what you are using for juice at that wattage? Do you mess with the wicks at all?
