You can't argue with PC sale dropping, but I doubt you see a major change in the corporate world anytime soon. Virtually every major US company uses PC based systems. Changing systems is a massive undertaking and the way it is set up, almost everyone (i.e. banks, credit unions, finance companies, etc.) would need to make the change at the same time so they can continue exchanging data.

I see articles about 5 in 10 companies using macs or whatever but it is misleading. My company has probably 50,000 total pc's and laptops, maybe 100 are macs and they are mostly for testing.

The software is made by a corporation but it's not a commercial nor corporate product. They should have released the software for the three major operating systems from the get-go.

I had no problem. Installed the new software on my Mac Mini and then started the software and plugged in my eVic and clicked on upgrade. Worked great. Try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work I would delete the software and install again. That might straighten it out.

Done that twice now and still the same!!! Its an imac im using so dont know if that will make any difference

I did the update 1.2 Beta yesterday and have had no problems whatsoever. I used a USB3 port, on windows 7.
I also ran the software in WINE on my linux box and got the software to run and connect with the device on that system on a USB2 port.

MAC user, look into WINE for MAC if you are inclined to tinkering. I worked on my LINUX box and MAC isn't so different from LINUX since OSX.

Download Wine for Mac - Run Windows applications (formerly Darwine). MacUpdate.com
Getting Started with Wine on Mac OS X

I HOPE THE LINKS HELP.

Overall my experiences with JoyeTech and with their products have been good. So far the same holds true for my eVIC.
