Okay so. I have decided to take a leap of faith and go for thw Evic and quit smoking for good. So I have a few questions. If anyone can help.

1. What all do I 'need' with the evic??
I ordered the evic, eca tank I believe what it is called. And a sample pack of flavors.

2. How often do I need to replace the components inside of the evic, will one tank last awhile, how long?

3. How long will a 5ml 10ml and 30ml last, what is the equivalent ml vs a pack? I don't want to run out before knowing when I need to order more.

4. Any suggestions for a new user waiting on a shipment?

5. Whats your flavor of choice, I need some inspiration as there is soooo many to choose from.

Thank you in advance.

hello and welcome to ecf and to the world of vaping.
you seem to have made a good choice for your good device. ive never seen an eca tank but it is an authentic joye product so it should be decent.
1. you should have everything you need as long as you got batteries and a charger and juice. you will probably need some more coil heads.. like i said im not familiar with the eca.
2. inside the evic itself you shouldnt have to replace anything. inside the atomizer it looks like there are atomizer heads that will need replacing, but im not sure.
3. juice is hard to discuss because it depends on how much you vape. normally i see people who vape more than they smoked. and its hard to say how many ml to a pack. i used to smoke a pack and a half a day and i can vape anywhere from 3 to 10 ml a day depending on what im doing.
4. we are all usually waiting on shipments of something. lol and the waiting period sucks. but you could go buy a disposable from the store to keep you satisfied during your wait.
5. flavor is subjective. but what kinda flavor are you looking for?

congrats on kicking the smokes btw

nothing inside the evic needs replaceing, just batts.. all you need are some batteries, aw imr are a good batt.. and a charger, ie intelli-charger, you can never have enough batts!! i dont know a lot about the eca, ive had a puff on one and found the flavor a bit muted.. finding a clearo you like will take a bit of trial and error, there are so many, pro tank, evods, vivi nova , carto tanks..ect ...one you get some vapeing experience and do some research i recommend you get into gennys like the rsst and move up from there.. taste is subjective so its hard to recommend flavors.. most people wen they quit start with tobacco flavs, and then on to foodies.. i reckon get some baccy (ry4 is always yummy) and some foodies like dairy chocolate or vanillia custard and see how you go..your right there is a lot so just have fun, experiment and enjoy!! if you smoke a pack of ciggies a day, i guess (rough guess) would be a under 10ml for sure. depends how much you vzpe but 10 would last more than a day.. enjoy and vape hard!!

Thank you. So far I am finding so much info on everything here. I am sure I will become a active member.

My biggest worry was with the tank. If it comes ready to use. Do the atomizers have to be replaced often or is it something that depends on your usage. I am a half to a full pack a day depending on sleep habits after work. So the 30ml bottle and the 5, 5ml pack should last me until the next order. Yay. I am a sweets type person. But I'm also very skeptical with the flavors as I am not sure how alike it is to th3 actual thing. Hey never know the flavor might curve my cravings for the treats itself. I am hoping it works for me as well as it has for others. Thank you so much I am excited to join the world of non smokers.

some flavors are very accurate but some not so much. im very picky about my flavors and it took me a long time to find an all day vape. but now i have 4 or 5 flavors that i rotate and i am always looking for a new flavor to add. i cant say with that tank how often you need to replace the atomizer heads. but i would suggest a protank 2. its good tank and the atomizer heads will last you roughly a week with that one. but you can take them out and clean them and prolong the life. you can watch reviews on youtube that will help you in your journey. pbusardo, grimmgreen, todd ecigreviews, and igetcha69 are all reviewers that helped me in my journey through noob-ism. lol and i still enjoy their reviews today.

Hi and welcome. You have bought a very nice APV (adjustable Personal Vaporizer). I love my eVic. It is a complex device but once you have it set up, it is very easy to use. I would suggest using the software from Joyetech's website to set it up. I use mine in variable wattage mode and almost always use it at 8 watts. I would also suggest getting one or even two spare batteries and a charger. The Panasonic battery that it comes with is great, lasts me all day. I don't like the passthrough charging feature, found that it doesn't fully charge the battery.

I find that I vape a lot more than I smoked. I go through 120-150ml of liquid a month. I started at 18mg/L nicotine strength but 90 days later, I'm ordering 6mg/L. Make sure you drink a lot of water, vaping dries you out. If you get headaches, you probably have too high a nicotine level. You can always order lower strength as you want it, if you want to. I would suggest getting a variety of flavors as you get used to them and they lose their flavor. I change my flavor at least three times per day. I buy my liquids in 30ml bottles.

Atomizers? The device on top of your eVic. That's a hard one. There are a lot of choices. I started with a Protank 2 and it was great to get experience with. There is a learning curve with vaping that smoking doesn't have. I never had good luck with them. The heads (coils) never lasted more than a couple of days for me. Now, thanks in large part to Baditude's posts on this site, I use cartomizers and tanks almost exclusively. Once you learn how to use them properly, they are cheap, last a long time and hold a lot of juice. The more devices that I learn how to use properly, the more I like cartomizers. You will decide over time what you like.

Don't let other people 'force' you decisions as to what to buy. Use suggestions, do research (Youtube is you friend), if you can afford it, buy one of what you are interested in and get used to using it. If you like it, you can buy more of them. In the beginning, it is easy to get overwhelmed by the choices out there.

Good luck and have fun!

i cant say with that tank how often you need to replace the atomizer heads. but i would suggest a protank 2. its good tank and the atomizer heads will last you roughly a week with that one. but you can take them out and clean them and prolong the life.

Welcome!

I second this comment! I will say that I get about 3 weeks out of each coil before I have to clean them, but YMMV depending on the juice you use. I can also recommend the iSmoka BCC tanks, they are awesome as well, but they are plastic and not pyrex glass like the Protanks. Lots of people also like the EVODs, but I had bad experiences with them from day one and can't recommend them. The Unitank is also not on my recommended list as it kills all the flavor in my juices.

As for the evic itself, you can probably get by with a single spare battery for now, at least until you figure out how long a charge will last you. It is a GREAT device, I'm vaping on one now, and it is pretty maintenance free. I do recommend wiping down the 510 threads when you fill your tank, both on the tank and on the evic, keeping them clean goes a long way! The easiest way I've found is to stuff the corner of a paper towel down inside and spin it slowly until nothing sticks to it.

Again, YMMV, hope this helps!

Awesome thank you for the comment. I just ordered one about 15 minutes ago. The protank 2. I'm excited for that arrival I also have a 5 replacement pack. I've also read a lot of comments about having to clean the threads of the EVIC. But as long as it prolongs the life all that matters to me. Thank you so much everybody here has been a great help. I'm excited to go smoke free and start vaping away.

I use my evic all day and usually when I get home my battery is at about 70% so I don't know if it's necessary to have an extra battery right away.

One thing I've found that I like is a smoktech cartomizer tank on my evic at 10 watts of power.

Also after a couple weeks of vaping I would try and force yourself down on the nicotine you'll be a lot happier with the vape with less nicotine in there!

Cleaning the threads out on your evic should just be a daily routine.

From what I found from another site....
Recommended Nicotine Strength

How Much to Buy?

1-2 Packs per Day 24mg

An average is about 2ml per day.

1/2 - 1 Pack per Day 16mg or 18mg

10ml bottle = 5 days

1/2 or Less per Day 11mg or 12 mg

30ml bottle = 15 days

Getting off Nicotine 06mg or 00 mg

Newbies: We recommend purchasing 20-30ml to start.

I own an evic and like it a lot, but I am a techie person too. The pro tank 2 is a great tank for the evic.

Forgot I use 2-3 per day depends on if I am busy at work, at home maybe 4-5 on weekends.

I started at 18 went to 12 in 90 days. 12 is good for now.

Shop around, watch you tube, read forums, and most of all Happy Vaping!

Well on average I smoke 12 to a full pack maybe more depends on what I do when I get off work. I work graves and sometimes when I get off at 8am I am up til 2pm and smoke more. unless I go right to bed and get up at 10pm I only smoke while at work and not so much at home. That is me cutting down.= from 1 to 2 PAD. soooo.. Perhaps my accident of getting all 24 wont kill me. I got a 30ml and 5, 5ml bottles coming in with My evic. So NEXT order I will cut down to 16 or 18. Thank You that helps alot. I have been reading alot. There is just soo much in to this its taking awhile.

Side note if you ordered 24mg liquid and it's too strong or too much throat hit or you want lower mg nic.

You can go buy straight vg (vegetable glycerin) from cvs or Wally World. Make sure it says 100% vg and USP grade and mix them at 24mg nic juice to 0 mg nic vg at a 2:1 (~18mg) ratio or 1:1(~12mg) ratio, but the flavor will be less pronounce.

We're have been there once and behind you in your journey.

Thank You for that info. I dont think it will be tooo bad at lest I hope not. I dont know if I can call and beg them to lower my mg before they ship haha

I bought some 18mg flavours which are too strong so I got a bottle of 8mg mint and a 8mg vanilla, now I half fill my evod with mint or vanilla then add maybe a quater cherry/apple 18mg flavour, adjust to taste and nothing is wasted and I don't loose flavour just get a slight new one :)
