That's correct. You don't want to flood your battery in case of a leak.

Hello MButton welcome to the vape world. I recently traveled to Hawaii from California for spring break and brought my ego-c twist with me. I packed it in a carry case without the tank attached, but liquid inside of it and stuck it in my carry-on backpack. I flew out of the San Jose Airport if that matters. As far as leaking, I think you should be okay. I also had a 10ml bottle in that same carry case without any leakage. Good luck with your trip & safe travels.

Thanks for the info, jbareng! Good to know. I haven't traveled with the clearos yet--only with cartos and eGo-C tank atties, so I have no idea how those tanks behave at high altitude.

I've flown with full clearos in my hand luggage and main luggage as spares, it worked Katya.
