So it was just a few weeks ago that I bought a Evic Primo, now to see today that Evic Primo 2.0 is going to be released, It seem to have the exact same parameters of the Predator also coming out any day now. The only thing I can see that is different is instead of the Original Primo is that it does 28 more watts and has a 2A balanced charger instead of a 1.5A It seem the rest of the specs are the same. I wonder if and how long it will take them to do a Firmware update for the Primo, I am sure they could bump up the wattage but not sure they would be able to Change the Charging from 1.5A to 2.0A either way not that big of a deal but like every thing else if I would have waited a month or so I could have bought the 2.0, even then the trade of is kind of big the Price of the 2.0 with the included tank is going to start around $89, don't think I would want the tank anyway, I was wondering why the Original Primo was so Cheap I think I paid $34 for the mod alone, not long ago. I am sure that they knew that the 2.0 was on its way soon anyway, I am pretty happy with the original that I got, but hope a F.W. update is in the works soon, or at least after they make some money off the 2.0, or that Arctic Fox does one for it.

They also got rid of the fake leather
I have not seen the 2.0 in person my guess it was replaced by a fake carbon fiber sticker, the 510 on mine is not as bad as some of the other ones I have, even though I really have not had as many problems as others with the 510, But I don't crank down on it either. It will be nice to see these newer 510's that they are putting in these mods.

ive been using primo for around 2 months. and i think mine's the non-updated 510 OG Primo, I have no issues with the 510, been using it with a number of RTAs and RDAs.

the 2A charging and higher watts on the 2.0 doesnt affect me one bit, but I love the look and feel of the Primo. so i might be getting this when it's available :D

All in all its not a bad mod, It does seem to go threw batteries a little fast, but maybe I am just getting use to better efficiency of the DNA boards, it also seems to be a little less stable, easy to knock over, possibly due to the shape. If I were buy anything else I would go with the Predator, that one is on my list to get still, waiting for a few model runs to work out any bugs, and maybe some more color options. I was hoping for some Easter sales but most colors are sold out at VapeNW and MFS.

I'm used to fixed battery mods and was considering buying the eVic Primo 2.0.
One question, what 18650 batteries should I get. Is the Cdc high enough on the LG Hg2?

I'm not a battery expert but, I think most brand-name 18650 batteries should be fine (Sony VTC, LG, Samsung) as long you don't exceed the max CDR. and it's a regulated mod, there's should be safety feature inside the chip.
I use Samsung 25R on my Primo. Be sure to pair the same batteries, pairing different batteries is a no no.
Probably read Mooch's battery guide to clarify further. Mooch's blog | E-Cigarette Forum

Brand-name and high discharge (bought from a trusted vendor). Sony, Samsung, and LG have low discharge, unsafe(r) chemistry 18650s as well.
