Evic reporting changing resistance on AGA T2 coil?

Hi all, I have wound my first coil on my new AGA T2 rba. My problem is that my evic is reporting different resistances on my coil. When I first wound the coil and checked the resistance on my Evic it was reporting 1.7 ohms ( which seemed about right). But subsequently I have seen varying resistances from 2.8 ohms to 2.2 ohms each time I have turned it on. Is it my coil is it my evic, or is it me? I used the SS mesh and resistance wire (wound a 4/3 coil) that came with the AGA T2. Has anyone else seen this? I guess I my need to get a meter to get an accurate reading.

Check the coil wraps and see if two could be slightly touching , if/when they touch they shorten
the length of the wire and lower the resistance and when they are not touching the resistance
will go back up. Also check that the ends of the wire are tightened , if a screw/nut is loose the
resistance will vary as contact with the wire changes.

In lieu of a meter, pull out an atomizer and/or a carto and see if the ohms vary with them; I'd be surprised if it did unless of course, they were bad. That said, you should definitely grab yourself a meter; you can get a decent one without spending a lot ... not sure I'd risk trying a new wick/coil without first checking it with a meter myself.

I had the same problem when I first started playing with aga-t since it was my first rba and it turned out to be user error on my part. My wick was to long and was touching the top cap or too fat for the wick hole But after some wasted mesh and wire I got it

Just keep at it you will get the hang of it

I have been using a Vivi Nova Tank for several weeks with the Evic and they were pretty stable. Although it always reported slightly higher then the atomizer was rated at (i.e. 1.8 ohm was 2.1, 2.4 ohm was 2.6). But it was stable. I'll take a look at my coil to see if any wraps are touching, and recheck the screws. I know the wick looks good and is not touching the top cap.

Thanks all for the help and suggestions. This thing is vaping like dream, I just need to be careful right now with my voltages. I have some electronics experience (not a technician, but I play one on TV) so I've been using my ohm's law to be sure I'm not running the voltages up higher than I should.

Anyone experience inconsistent ohm readings with the eVic? I'm using a Vision Vivi Nova with a 2.4 ohm head. Sometimes it reads at 2.5 sometimes 2.6 or 2.7.

Anyone have any insight?
