Don't forget to buy a battery charger and some extra 18500 batteries. (or the 18650 battery cap extension) Either way, you have to buy batteries and a charger, they don't come with it. And understand the 3.5 amp limit won't allow you to vape at the same power the eVic S will. As long as you're good with all that, you'll have a bad-ars variable voltage PV, probably the best one made. I just wish they'd get with the times and build a real-time variable wattage device. I hate having to figure wattage every time I switch attys, or account for resistance change when things start heating up. Call me lazy, but that's a real deal breaker for me.

Not going to talk about provaris since I don't own one but what turned me off was exactly what was posted before... Limited to 3.5 amps, only vv and let's face it... The design is from the 90ees.
I keep people saying this or that product will last a lifetime... Who wants to have the same mod for life anyway? I bet in five years we will be laughing at our kayfuns, provaris and God knows what more... This activity is in constant, fast paced change. If you read ECF posts from 2012, hardly no one ever went over 8w and ce clearos where da bomb.

My two cents

To update the supreme firmware I had to download the PC software again. Then it told me there was an update. Tried the 2.1 firmware and didnt like it, went back to 1.1

I had the same problem,, I did not like the 2.1 software looks and use
I had to call Katie @ joyetech,, she is a genius!!!!
I was back to version 1.1 in no time
I still haven't used anything but the vv vw modes, I want to glam my evic up but I don't want to mess it up at the same time. so,,, I haven't loaded any pics or logos but I really want to.. I just don't understand the computer stuff to well(system restore is my best friend lol)
I would absolutely welcome anybody who could help me to get mine "personalized" without messing it up again

I bought mine from Rob @madvapors for 159.99 which is Joyetechs price I believe
I want to buy from him again BUT the customer service is not there for me and that's a huge deal in my eyes, right after pricing of course
not a bad experience,,, just a purchase I guess, I wrote a lot to him and just got very basic response nothing to mirror my enthusiasm(I was hoping for a more happy like vendor responses from him like reviews have said is all) I will try FASTTECH I think?? not sure yet,, I only have so much to spend and want what everybody wants,,, the best prices and FT is sooo much cheaper it seems

I would love to have a friend who also vapes,, I'm alone here and no longer want to keep quiet

I love this thing!!!
still learning and still NOT smoking since July 19th!!!!

There isn't much in uploading pictures or animations. There is some work in creating animations frame by frame but even that isn't much of a big deal if you have some imagination. If I recall correctly, there is already a custom animation in the my vapours software so you can upload it and try it out.

Just curious... Why don't you like v2.1? I m not too fond of cluttered screens so v 2.1 is nicer in my view.

I saw on one of the deal sites this week Evic Supremes for $117.99. Just search ebay and you'll find it.

I think what always bugged me a little bit about my old eVic (I have since given it to my brother) was less the ramp-up, and more the amp limit. The same with my Innokin SVD.

I still kinda want an eVic Supreme, but I've been able to dissuade myself by reminding me that that "delay" is still a part of how the thing functions. So I'm asking you nice folks to convince me that it's less bothersome than I think it is. That, and now that it's about $40 cheaper, has my resolve wavering. Plus I want to check out that Delta tank. ;)

Now that's a good trick, since ecigs have only been around for about 10 Years.;) What year is it?

I was referring to the "design", not the device itself. Today's style is more minimalistic, simple without unnecessary forms or grooves. I look at the provari and I remember a house apliance from twenty years ago.

Anyway, I am pretty sure you got it the first time.

Now is not the time to be purchasing the old Provari unless you get a killer deal. They have announced their new P3 model and Phil Bushardo has already done a quick look at it. Variable voltage and wattage but only up to 20W.

And just where will you be getting that killer deal on a $300.00 P3? Considering the features are nearly identical, and the eVic Supreme has a few more than the P3 even - I fail to see the positive argument for a $300.00 20 watt APV. But I'm sure there is someone out there who just cannot live without a fire button that lights up pink...

It still has the ramp up but I don't notice it using rvw curves set to 16w,14w,12w and 10w for the reminding seconds. The first half second at 16w does somehow compensate for the ramp up. To be completely honest, when I use normal vw on the evic s or my sigelei now I feel meh about it compared to rvw. I does make a difference to me.

However there are some things I don't like. For example, being in 18350 mode, I need to economize on power so I have the device in stealth mode and auto power off in 10 min. When waking up, the evic S has to be clicked 5 times, then it wakes up, checks the atty's resistance and only then let's you vape... It takes too long in my opinion. I'm not even mentioning a cold boot that also includes the startup animation but that only happens on a battery change so it's OK (and pretty cool)... It's the wake-up sequence that bothers me.

The "delay" is what you adjust with the feature set if you don't like it, either by using the eVic in Auto mode and just... not vaping for the first second or two when auto firing. Or customizing either a voltage or wattage fire sequence any way you want with the 4 programmable slots for custom firing settings. ProVape is now calling that "hot shot. " I call it "borrowed eVic technology."

You can't change provari die hard fans... Not going to happen. Kinda reminds me my rc hobby. There were some futaba gyro fans there that would pay $400 for a futaba gyro with 6 year old technology inside and still swear by it while hand calibrated spartan gyros went for $200 and we're kicking butts at every major competition... You can't change them.

I just want to see one of them actually admit to buying one - if/when that becomes a possibility. For as many threats as I hear to buy one I'm hearing from more P2.5 owners that are giving it a pass for variou$ reasons.

We'll see...

Die hard Provari user - also an Evic/ Evic Supreme owner.

Love the Evic Supreme, very reliable, feels good in the hand and looks very pretty with custom tubes.

I'll also be the first to admit that the Provari 3 has replicated a lot of the elements of the Evic Supreme - especially the removable 510 and 'hot shot' but it won't stop me from buying a P3 or any other mod for that matter, I don't like to limit myself!

If you can afford it, then why not? Just because everyone drives a Volkswagen, it doesn't make it the best car though.

Anyway, maybe if I lived in the US, then MAYBE the provari could be an option. The P2.5 comes here at $300-$330 so its not an option. The P3 will be probably even more. I won't buy directly from the US because of customs (taxes, vat, etc) but also because of that ridiculous warranty you people have over there. I mean 1 year or even less? Naa...

I have full 2 year warranty on my evic supreme unless I drop it of course.

Each one to its own. If you like it and can afford it, go for it. For me, there are better options out there.

I have an Evic, was thinking on an evic supreme...
Im ...... that with 6 months my evic is unreliable now. I was going to pay almost same for an evic supreme and a semovar, so i choose the later.
One thing that piss me off on the evic supreme is the gigantic led. I dont need a mod to upload pics. Good points to evic/joytech is easy access to change/see/watch voltage/wattage.

I hold dear evic because it was my first true mod; however, since when i changed to semovar nivel im experiencing a much smoother vape, due to better voltage regulation. I dont know if the internal chip and voltage regulator on evic supreme is the same.
For me, evic is pretty good, much better than any ego style vv, but i could feel a sensible difference on semovar. On evic, i used to get different tasting, burning and other things vaping same tank during the day. These problems i dont have anymore. Anyway, semovar is much more $$, around 200 EUR. You pay not only because of the chip, but because of svoemesto brand, but i think its worth.

It always bothered me too. Never liked the provari design. Evic otherwise looks very much like an old iphone design. Even the case resembles iphone.
