I'm Very technical when its comes to integrated circuits. Send it to me ill try to fix it. If i do you pay 25 plus shipping other wise just shipping. You can buy just the heads for 60 though

I don't think you can solicit for business without being a supplier. I don't think it's allowed in this part of the forum.

I wonder if provari had so many people running around looking for excuses to say it sucked when it was new.. Seems like there are provari fans who constantly search 'evic' so that they can pop in and say "omg that sucks get a provari."

The vast majority of people who have evics love them, and haven't had any issues. I drop mine at least once a day, from at least 3' onto carpet (often farther onto harder surfaces) with no issues at all. (From what I've been reading, quite a few people saying "evic sucks" haven't even seen one in person. It is never "I like my provari because.." it is always "that sucks, you suck, go get a provari"..) They aren't perfect for everyone (nothing is, even provari..) and there are some issues that can't be solved in software (sunlight visibility) but it isn't the flimsy buggy mess provari fans keep trying to insist it is..

Looking at provari, it isn't even a straight comparison - evic is vw/vv, provari is vv. I don't doubt its better than a twist but it isn't the same class of device as an evic.

That sort of constant hammering makes me sure of one thing - I don't want a provari. I don't want to be associated - even distantly - with their fans. If my evic dies tomorrow, I'll probably build something basic and throw a kick into it.

Just my :2c:

Maybe I said what I did because I do have a eVic. They are far from being the best. Personally, unless they made some drastic improvements, I wouldn't buy another one. The displayed voltage is WAY off. What's the use of having a display if it doesn't deliver what the screen says? OK, forget the Provari, get a device that does what it's supposed to. Why go buy another head and spend $75 for it, only to possibly have the same problem again? my 2¢

I can only test the one I have, but it reads accurately according to my meter (within the limits of PWM, same as provari and pretty much everything else.) Anecdotally, it also provides very similar hit at the same voltages compared to my 3.7 regulated 'dumb' batt and the 2 other VV devices I've used. It is certainly possible some were miscalibrated though, and I didn't have one before the 1.2 release. (There are a lot of users posting that 1.0/1.1 was awful but 1.2 fixed most of the issues.. That could be one of the, but I don't know.)

Definitely go with what works for you :)

Been using a eVic for a month now with no problems at all, its does what it is suppose to. Could the build be better ? Yes, but at the price point its at, it's nice. One thing I do like about it, is where the button is located. You have better control holding and taking a vape. I see alot of mods have the button towards the middle, like the Vamo.

Would you mind making a screen shot showing the voltage reads the exact same thing as what the screen shows?

I don't have the stripped atty anymore (tossed it after checking everything) but I should be able to get a spare in the next few days. Remind me and I'll strip one once they come in. (Don't want to take something out of service just to recheck this :))

Looking around, I should probably just get the madvapes reader. I do enough poking at these with my multimeter..

Flintlock62, I agree with you 100 percent all the way. I love the eVic and I really can't complain especially at the price it is going for. The output power is what kills me with this thing. Tried out a friends Provari yesterday with my tanks and equipment and the vape was def better on different voltage settings that screen is not displaying what it is putting out at least in my experience that's for sure. I will be buying a Provari soon, but still will be using the eVic.

They're not too bad for the price, I guess. Of course, I paid $50 shipped for mine on a co-op.

My clock reset itself to 00:00. I went to set it back, and it froze up. I had to remove the battery to get it to work again. It froze another time when I was adjusting the wattage. Again, I had to remove the battery and replace it. On top of that, I find vw pretty useless. I have mine set back to vv now.

Another problem is the 5 volt limitation. That definitely needs to be addressed. The best I could give the eVic is 3 out of 5 stars at present.

Replacing an eVic with a Provari is like replacing a Ferrari Enzo with a Dodge Ram. Sure, the replacement is more durable and rugged, but it's primitive, outdated technology with fewer features, less control and inferior technical performance.

I guess it depends on whether your priorities are having an expensive piece of idiot-proof vape jewelry, or having a mod that is actually state-of-the art, but requires that you handle it like the piece of precision electronics that it is (rather than handling it like a hammer...)

Inferior technical performance? Provari has the most accurate electronics, hand down. If you set the voltage to 4.0 volts, that's exactly what you get, 4.0 volts. Personally, if I wanted to call something "vape jewelry", it would be the eVic. Bells and whistles doesn't make it magically vape better.

P.S. I wouldn't exactly call the eVic precision!:D

I just watched your vid. There pretty tuff!! And u can't argue with science... LOL

They break like everything else. It just seems people like to make it sounds normal for it to break if you knock it over. So I ventured to show that it is not true.

Also, that is thin cheap carpet that the previous owner installed 10 years ago, so it's not very soft.

I am sure if it hit the right spot the top would pop but the provari top cap is press fit in too, so the same thing could happen.

Yeah the more thing put on something the easer they r to brake. All I know is that I work construction and the one I have has gone flying out of my pocket and hit the cement swinging a pickaxe and droped once jumping off a Bobcat and it works just fine. I wouldn't through it off the steps like u did but I trust it to hold up to every day use. At half the price of other VV mod's I can afford to replace it if it dose.
