So i recently had my evic control head go out on me, so i ordered a new one. Over the weekend i was camping and left it sitting in my glove box, when i returned to my car the unit would not turn on, i tried a new battery and plugging it in and it just wont turn on.... Is it possible it just fried? i know it was hot in the car but it seemed fine in the glovebox. Any suggestions? If not i guess i just killed 2 evics in one month where both just failed for no reason(the first one malfunctioned while i was using it and never worked the same again), unless i can fix this one i am never going to buy joytech products again.

Remove any battery
Let it cool - completely
If you do not have MVR Software - get and install it on a pc
Attach the control head to the PC through USB and see if MVR finds it
Update firmware if needed
Install Battery and see if it power up.

Glove Box gets as hot as any other part of the interior.

yea i was thinking about the vaporshark one but then i just heard if you drop it they break easily lol. My first Evic i had for amount 1.5 years until one day while outside i was vaping, set it on the table, and when i picked it back up 2 minutes later the screen was going crazy and wouldnt fire, reset factory settings and it wouldnt fix. I loved the device but after that incident and now one breaking from being left in the car (mostly shaded area) i cant bring myself to buy another one. I just want a small durable mod that has decent battery life lol i feel like thats asking to much maybe.

Storing an electronic PV in a car - really bad idea.

Keeping any lithium batteries in a closed car where temps can easily climb to over 110 degrees in a matter of minutes when in the sun - really, really bad idea.

Had my 1st generation eVic over six months - still working. Considering I bought it used and it's been through two owners now - zero problems.

I was pif'd a first generation evic and it suffers the "head falling off" syndrome to the max. Last time this happened it not only lost the black wire from the head to the board completely it broke the connection of the red positive wire that goes from the pin in. I never had both wires come off at the same time so I need help if someone has a minute. Now that both wires are off and I can't find a wiring guide anywhere I need to know which wire goes to what point on the card. know they go on opposite sides of the card but where does pos go and where does neg go??? Any one ? after this I do believe There will be a generous application of the gorilla epoxy I read about. Thanks in advance
