I have read for hours various posts here and else where. I see people that are very satisfied with their evic VTs and others that have experienced issues similar but not quite the same as mine. Here is my email to Joyetech. Any Suggestions? Thanks in Advance.

To Whom it may concern,
I purchased the Evic VT a few days ago. I had previously watched all the review videos online as well as read all the specs and info on your website. I have an eGo One and and like it very much. So i was very excited to try the evic VT. When it arrived I read the manual. I made sure it was in Temperature mode for the Nickel coil. I read on your site that the longest ejuice consupmtion as well as the longest batter life was with the temperature set to 230 celcious (446 Fahrenheit) and 30W. I also made sure that after i filled the tank and screwed it back into the base it read the resistance and i locked it in. (0.21 OHMs). I also made sure to put a few drops of ejuice on the coil directly to prime it. So far I believe I have done everything correctly.
At these settings there was very little vapor production and poor taste.
I gradually increased the temperature and went through several cycles of testing the temperature at various wattages.
In conclusion no matter the Wattage anything under 500 degrees Fahrenheit is very disappointing. finally around 550 degrees and 50W or over I get a very nice vapor production. Continuing to test at various settings there was nothing I could do but set it to 600 degrees and 60W. Even at this setting the vapor doesn't seem to be warm at all, although the vapor production is decent.
Lastly I tried the Titanium coil. Again making sure it was attached at room temperature and locking in the resistance (0.39 OHMs) and making sure the temperature was at the Ti setting before starting to vape There was no difference between the Nickel coil or the Titanium coil. After testing only a few settings with the Titanium coil I finally brought the unit all the way up to 600\60, where i get decent vapor production, the vapor is still not warm, and taste it ok at best.
I then turned back to my eGo One to see how it compared. The vapor production on the eGo One with a Kanthal coil feels much warmer, which is more satisfying and also makes the flavors stand out more. The amount vapor production from the eGo One and the Evic VT (set at 600\60) is very similar.
In conclusion I am disappointed with the evic VT as it seems the temperature control is worthless if the unit has to be set at its maximum settings to produce almost satisfying results.

Do you have any suggestions for me?
Do I have a faulty unit?

Another thought - Does the composition of the juice have anything to do with this? In the tests above I used a juice which is 80\20 (VG\PG).

Ok I have the same issue going on

I've found that I'd you fire it once with the Ni coil and unscrew the tank and screw it back on and set the resistance to. 22 or .23 you get a much better experience. Also I noticed high vg juices don't get as hot as my 50/50
I actually just rebuilt one of the coils to .87ohm with kanthal and said screw tc on this mod with this tank.

I have heard other tanks do much better in TC with the evic such as the subtank mini I have a ni coil for my stm but haven't tried it yet if u have another tank capable of tc try that or locking in a higher resistance like I mentioned earlier but that's a pain as it resets a few minutes after the screen cuts off

Gl and I am not disappointed in the evic itself just in the tank I got a great deal on it so a 5000mah battery is awesome even if the tc is Janko but ima try the Ni coil in my stm with the evic soon

The stock ti heads for the ego one mega suck. Those pathetic little pinpricks aren't even a shadow of enough juice feed. Juice starvation in TC mode = low vapor production.
Either build an RDA for TC, get a different tank system, use the CLR ti heads for the ego one mega (they are supposedly better), or drill out the juice feed holes on the stock e1m ti heads so the outer circumference of the juice hole is flush with the tank base.
The evic VT is fine, the supplied atomizer blows.

Here is the reply from Joyetech...

Hi friend,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
The recommended temperature range for Ni coil is from 500-550℉.
For Ti coil is from 450-500℉.
Also the recommended power is above 30W.
Hope this can help you.
Best wishes!

If you check out Busardo's analysis of the Evic VT, you'll find the reason why there. The Evic does temperature control fairly well up to about 400 degrees. Then it's performance seems to drop off. His analysis showed that setting to 500 actually gets only to about 410. And yes, I own one. I'm, for the most part, satisified with it because I know this up front. I have found that using my titanium coils in nickel mode is a little easier to work with if you aim about 100 degrees lower than you would in titanium mode. And I've also found that hitting the coil once and then taking it off/putting it on so the resistance is .02 to .03 higher, then locking it, results in a more consistent vape.
