I'm not saying boycott high wattage mods though, I do own a dna 200 mod I just opted for a 18650 powered dna rather than LiPo powered. I get more piece of mind when I leave it charging.

That's just me, the fire hazard is real if you want to see one first hand YouTube has plenty of examples.

I prefer a changeable battery as well but it's more to do with theoretically the board should outlast the batteries. Then there is always the worry of the quality of the battery pack. A good reputable manufacturer should be using quality packs and there shouldn't be a worry. The only thing though on Chinese made mods is recall, if say Joy. were to get a bad batch of batteries, how far would it go before and/or if they would replace/repair. Just from looking at past mods and manufacturers, I highly doubt anyone would be taken care of by the maker.

They make fireproof bags to charge batteries in if you're really worried. Most good chargers are made of fire proof plastics and other safety features.

Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using Tapatalk

LiPo Bags aren't fire proof they're fire resistant, they're meant to contain the fire more than completely avoid it all together.
I use ammo boxes which can hold more volume and are generally more fire resistant that LiPo bags I've seen a few catch fire if they're not properly sealed.

The protection on the chargers we buy for vape use is a joke, there is no protection there for LiPo useage anyway.
The built in USB charger that comes on board of the mod (what most people use to charge their LiPos) that's not safe at all, especially when you deal with multi-cell LiPo packs.
I charge my LiPos with this charger and even then I'm still paranoid and stay in the same room before I go out to the field and discharge at the field before I come home.
