Absolutely true hahahahaha canr find a mod on that range of price with such features

the TFV4 I Mini bought for TC has gotta get use, so now I need another TC mod that actually works

I wanted something small with decent power and TC, so I have been staying away from the other more powerful mods mostly.

Cloupor Mini Plus...$28.99...

Erm.. i built my veritas for TC and used Ti on Ni mode for a couple days. Today i tried Ti mode again, set it to 280 celsius. I'm not sure if that's higher than it's supposed to be (that is, i don't know if it really is 280), but it's been working fine for the entire evening, even after sleep.
I have no idea what's going on.
If it matters, the build is a spaced triple twisted grade 1 Ti 32gauge, reading 0.41 ohms.

I think he is just saying that Cloudpor Mini Plus is another option with similar features at the same price as the eVic VTC Mini is all

Ohhhh haha...oh boy...I almost went postal...I thought he was suggesting the VTC Mini...thanks @gerrymi but I think I'm gonna stick to ipv D2 (or ipv3 LI, but I'm leaning more towards the D2). I don't know much about Cloupor... it does look like a nifty device.

I cancelled my order for the cloupor+ in favor of the vtc, and i'm not regretting it. Despite it's kinks with Ti mode, it's still an amazing mod for the money. My second choice would also be D2 now that i've seen some of the cloupor reviews (not saying it's bad, i'd just personally go for the D2 if vtc did not exist).

Yeah that's what happened to me...read some Clouper reviews, decided to go with the known favorite (D2). And yes the VTC Mini is a great mod in VW mode, it's just that I'm a newb and it was supposed to be my great "first ever TC mod", didn't work out. :) So I got my feelings hurt. Now I will have a bit more pessimism when buying new gear...

IMO gerrymi is in no way out of line for posting a good price on a VTC Mini in a thread about the VTC Mini. Price matters.

I know some have had bad experiences with the mod, but there are those who are still thinking of giving it a try (me for one).

The eVic HTC Mini is my first temp control mod and I have to say the temp control on this is amazing! I have friends who have D2's and Sig 150's TC and Esquares and out of all of them everyone agrees that the temp control on this mod is just as good as the other expensive mods or better. The thing is with the first firmware update people thought that something was wrong when the mod would read different resistances when locked and firing or putting on different attys that were got or cold and all it is, it's the dynamic resistance doing what it's supposed to do. Also people think there is a problem when it hits protection on temp mode. Its supposed to do that! It even says so in the users manual but it just means it's reached temp and won't let it go over that's why it throttles the watts back. Its just a lot of new features a lot of people are not used to but I use different tanks with both Ni and Ti and they are both amazing. I am buying another one, only thing tho is I'm just getting the mod because the tank is.....lets just face it it's not that good. And the coils wicking holes are so small and when you hit that thing you just don't think your getting anything. But throw on an Arctic or Crown tank and man it's incredible. You can't beat this mod for the price. I have the white one and I love it. But this mod for 44 dollars and just the mod because I promise you in a couple days you will just stop using the tank. Can't go wrong with this mod in any mode!

Nah, it's not the firmware update...

Yeah but what some people are seeing is, after a few vapes, the mod *instantly* (near instantly) hits temperature control mode, it's misreading the resistance somehow (locked or unlocked, doesn't matter). The mod stays in "Temp control", only giving the atty about 4W and the vapor production just stops.

I'm not saying yours works this way, but some do.

Yeah I only got the mod as well, sounded like the tank wasn't for me. Not enough airflow...

Yeah it's inexpensive and the white is awesome :). Just wished TC mode worked. Oh well, the D2 is pretty inexpensive as well, so...

Yeah I can't decide between the D2 or a ipv3li as a replacement for the broken VTC mini...Obviously the D2 is cheaper and more comparable, but something about the ipv3li is calling my name... heck I'll prolly end up with both.
Wait? What? Oh ya thats definitely not good! I'm sorry bro seems like you got a defective one or something? I have not heard that with anyone around my city that has them and they are all over now I swear. Mine always has good vape. I vape my Arctic on the nickel at 450 through 500 and it says protect after a second or two but the vapor production is amazing. And it's supposed to hit protect. But mine doesn't stay on protect. Do you mean like protect for the device? But the dynamic resistance will read attys different as they heat up and cool down, for instance if I take my tank off right now after chain vaping it might read it a tad bit hire but with lock on after one click will go right back to my set resistance. And always a nice cloudy rip everytime but no vapor production at all does not sound right. There is a video on YouTube with a guy who had the original and it was doing what yours is doing it sounds like
