So I have been happily vaping on an ego one and decided to upgrade to an evic vt and Ive had the issues where I'm vaping my flavor but then it just goes horribly wrong and a burning sensation is in the back of my throat and it tastes disgusting. Any ideas as to why this could be?

What wattage is it set at, and what is the resistance of the attached atomizer?

Hm. That's a bit odd. At this temperature/wattage you shouldn't really be burning your juice. I mean, with a TC mod you shouldn't be burning anything at all. Do you have another head you can swap in? Since it's cotton, if you've burnt it once, it's done forever. Although really it shouldn't have burnt at all..

I visited my vape shop and the guy checked it out. When he started hitting it then I did after there was no problem. A little while later I've been taking some hits and it just burns my throat a bit. Should I inhale faster or slower?

What airflow setting do you have the tank set to?

If you have the airflow mostly closed off and you're trying to "lung hit" it (ie: not like a cigarette) then yes, that'd probably result in juice not getting to the coil fast enough (though, again, temp control should prevent that).

If you have the airflow wide open it's still possible you're ripping it too hard. Maybe try slower pulls and see if that fixes it. Also try "priming" the wick by taking a few dry puffs (ie: puffs without pressing the fire button) just to pull juice into the coil/wicks.
