EVIC VTC dual, pulling before hitting fire issue

I just got a new EVIC VTC dual in the mail today. Liking it pretty well except I notice it's one of those mods that if you start pulling (sucking) before hitting fire, when you do hit fire it produces 0 vape. Why does this happen on some mods anyway? I don't even understand how it happens. Any fixes besides remembering to hit fire a split second before pulling?

Well that solves that. I put in a fresh set of rewrap batteries the wrong way, and the mod wouldnt release them. tried a lot of things, but had to slide the plastic sheath out as well. Now my battery wrap was damaged trying to get it out, so I rewrapped and I'm now using another mod. What a waste of money. I imagine returning to FT is PITA. Hopefully I get something.
