there's always new products coming out, you will end up waiting forever for the next "big thing" - unless you want the black evic that will be released after the chinese holidays- i'd go ahead and get one- and update it to latest upgrade. since i updated mine to ver 1.2beta im finding it a awesome mod. as long as you dont wanna vape at over 5v its pretty cool. especially with the new features!!!! look around for prices though!!! you can always buy just the head unit for about $72 if you already have a ego tube mod. it fits on tube!!

I was not impressed with my eVic at first. Almost disappointed. I used my Epic Storm over it for daily use.

That has ALL CHANGED with 1.2! WOW awesome improvements! You can change what's on the home screen right from the home screen with the dial, the MVR is awesome! I have it set to get it a good kick start and then level off....

All around a GREAT device now!

Just waiting for my stainless steel telescoping tube and caps to complete the look with my AGA-T

If you use cartos, clearos or attys you will most likely be ok. If you use or plan on using RBAs then you will most likely find that it is lacking in power and is inconsistent in its power delivery under load.

I would agree with you before 1.2, but now, it is powering my AGA-T very well. I did have a lot of problems before.

Did they change the amp limit in v1.2? Don't believe they did but I could be wrong

My GUESS is that the amp limit is hardware related. Which is part of the answer for the OP. I'll bet the next rev will change that. Who knows when it will hit, if ever, though.

I think they go to 11 watts now. More than enough unless you're running dual-coil stuff. Then I'd be wary until I heard more.
