Hello! I own a EvicVT with a Melo 2 tank.

The EvicVT has a nice display which shown wattage, temp and some atomizer number, which i don't know what actually means, but i know what number i want.

Here's my exact problem, i just changed the coil, my last coil sat at the number 0.46 (The atomizer number), which it had dropped to from 0.49 for some reason, but i just upped temp to counteract the change. 0.46 or 0.49 was fine, but the new coil refuses to go that low, i literally have my EvicVT sitting by an open window, it's freezing outside and the number wont go below 0.53, i don't understand why or how i can get it lower. I have tried using it at that number, but it's just not good, it rips my throat, and not in a good way.

I don't really need to know what this number is (would be nice), i know it has something to do with temperature, which is why i have it by the freezing window, but i would like to know how to get it lower like my last coil. It's the same coil, exact same brand and type, so i'm clueless :(

just reduce the wattage and/or temperature.

a 0.1 ohm variation in coil ohms off the factory production line isn't surprising.
What did the packaging for those coils say? 0.5 ohms?

It says 0.50 on the coil. I guess i could try fiddling with the wattage and temperature more, although i have been doing that to no success. I just wish i didn't have to do that, why can't i just change the ohm to the number i want, since a different ohm number changes what temp and wattage you need. It just seems to my ignorant mind that this is poor design, but i don't really know what this number is so i'm sure there's a reason for this.

No;; the ohm number is not the thing for you to adjust.

The first thing to adjust is the temperature.
The second thing to adjust is the wattage.

When you put in a new coil, the evic will measure the ohms and display it for you.
Different coils will operate best at different wattages.

Yes, i got that, my point was that since the temp and wattage you use depends on the ohm number, it seems like being able to adjust the ohm would be the most optimal way to use the device, then you could just keep the same temp and watt all the time.
But i guess that's not relevant since you say that's not possible, which is a shame. I don't like having to experiment and adjust the device every time i change the coils :/

Edit: Oh, and thanks for the help! :)

In temperature control mode, using nickel coils you can see the ohms changing when you fire the mod,

but

that is something NEW to vaping.

Two years ago, there was no temperature control, and there was no changing ohms.

Don't worry too much about the ohms, just look at it so that you will notice any sudden changes like if it suddenly doubles or drops to half.

The numbers to adjust are the temp and watts.

Well i can lock the ohms, that's a feature on the evic. But point taken :)
