My EVO atomizer is now giving a much lighter draw and the slightest bit of vapor, but is still getting pretty hot to the touch (felt through the cartridge).

Are these symptoms of a dead/dying atomizer? I've tried direct dripping, topping off a cart and completely refilling the cart. I've also drained the atomizer upside down and blown into it from the battery end. Is there anything I can do to get it to work again or is it shot?

On a side note, luckily I was in AC when it crapped out and I was able to walk down the the Trump Plaza and buy a njoy NPRO. It's not as good as the EVO, but it's better than a real cigarette (which I also tried for the first time in two weeks and HATED).

PS. I'm using JC Non-PG Medium Wild Cherry (and loving it).

Thanks!
,Eric

I'd say 2-3 total ml or less. I've only had it for two weeks and smoked the 10 carts that came with the starter kit and a little bit of each of 7-8 flavors from the JC sampler (non-PG).

Maybe it's the JC juice causing the problem? It's been working nicely in the NPro for a couple days now, and the couple days in the EVO was even better.

Soak it in RC cola for a couple of hours and then rise it out REALLY well with water, then let it dry completely and re-prime it (2 drops, wait 10 - 15 minutes, 2 more drops). Start puffing on it and you should notice it gradually starting to build up vapor production, back to new.

It'll tarnish it a bit but it should work like a champ when it's done.

Sorry to hear you've had bad luck with your Evo, ed.

I'm on 51 days with mine and no problems at all, so far. Still using the original parts and it's chugging away nicely.

It almost seems to me that certain models of e-cig just don't like certain people...others fit certain people like a glove.

Maybe you're one that the evo just hates on for some reason :p

I'm impressed. Brought the atomizer (and another I thought was completely dead) back to life. I missed the hit I get from the EVO. They both actually seem to be going through juice faster now, producing a major throat hit.

I'm still kinda glad I got the NPro though -- it doesn't hit as hard, but the thing produces major vapor with the VG JC juice.

Thanks again Terraphon!

ISSUE PRESENTED

THE RECCOMENDATION

THE OUTCOME AND RESOLUTION

A NOTE OF APPRECIATION

You're welcome! Glad I could help :)

I think it is more than fair to see that Terraphon et al's work in this area of atomizer trouble shooting is paying off. Note that the report was that the atomizer was getting HOT but not producing VAPOR--Also note that the cola bath abated the issue. The work continues---Sun
