Guys;

does anyone know the normal voltage range of the EVO batteries. I have four batteries that quit at the same time. All batteries are showing 2.8v after charging. It's just not enough to fire the atty. And, all four at the same time? Something's fishy here.

I'd check the charger.

I would bet the charger as well.

I just put several different m401s on charge, So Ill have a look as well. They all metered out between 2.8-3.04 before this charge, and had been sitting a bit.

Something interesting to note, The m401 batteries seem to be always conducting?:confused: I get a .04v read even when the switch is not activated, on every m series I have. They are the only batteries Ive found that read when "off/standby"..

Ill let you know what they top out at, in a bit.

EDIT: Smoore claims they are 3.7 rated, which should top out at aprox 4.19? We'll see..

I have 4 chargers, and my M401 batts charge normally on all of them. Just cant figure this out. It's only with the EVO batts, and the 4 batts are the same.

Hmm, though they seem to charge right, do your m401 batteries read at 2.80v with the multi as well? Your EVO's dont work at all, after the charge and 2.80v read?

I just pulled one white EVO genie off charge, that was finished. It still reads 2.80v. It still operates fine. Still have more on charge..

That is odd..

I can't get a good reading on the 401's. It's hard to hold the probes on and suck on them at the same time. If your EVO's are @ 2.8v like mine, I can't figure out why they wont fire up the atty. Tried different attys too. Same results each time.

What?? :confused::p
You know those switches are some of the most sensitive electro-mag switches out there! Use it to your advantage for once!

Try blowing on the coupling, while taking a read with the multi. Should be Much easier! :p :)

Though I agree, I do not understand why your batteries are not performing right. It seems odd that any are reading 2.8 at all tbh...

I measured voltage of three of my fully charged 3 month old M401 batts. Two are barely used and one has an honest months use. They all measured 2.9VDC. I was expecting 4VDC.
