I finally got my EVO from intellicig a few days ago.

My first impression of the EVO was that it was garbage. No throat hit and minimal vapor production. The pre charged batteries did not last more than a few puffs.

Thinking that the pre charged batteries might have been used up on its way here....batteries for the EVO are really sensitive, so any bumps while being shipped to me would have used up the battery. I charged both batteries until the LED light from my charger turned green. Still getting no more than a few more puffs than before until batteries were dead again.

At first i thought that the minimal vapor was because of the bad juice inside the cart. I refilled it with TW Menthol and still barely any vapor production....plus lots of freaking juice in my mouth each time i took a hit. Eww.

As i was about to give up on the product. I remembered some things igetcha wrote about the EVO (some of his tips). I immediately took out the plastic core out of the cart and lo and behold...there was a lot of juice under the plastic core and around it. I guess when i was refelling the cart, i must have spilled it there. I took out a paper towel and wiped everthing outside the core dry. I no longer kept getting a shot of juice each time i took a drag out of the EVO.

One problem solved but i still had 2 more problems to go. Vapor porduction and extremely short battery life. As i kept on trying the EVO to learn to get the best vapor out of it, the next day it was when the EVO's atomizer i guess woke up. They started producing twice or thrice the amount of vapor it was producing at first and throat hit that you can feel. In fact thorat hit that was better than my TW 901.

The battery (genie) problem solved itself after charging both batteries for the third time. Somehow after the third charge on both batteries, they started lasting pretty long, longer than my 901 batteries. I do not think that the EVO batteries are better than the 901's though. I think that part of what makes the EVO batteries last longer is the 5 scond cutoff and the cutoff when you take too many drags at a given time period.

Vapor production is not as much compared to the TW 901, but the EVO you can take a much shorter drag. So if we take a 901 and EVo and both take a lets say 3 sec drag. The EVO will produce more Vapor in that amount of time. Realistically though, 901 users take a longer than 3 sec drag, thus the 901 producing more vapor than the EVO. Just dont get me wrong - the 901 produces more vapor than the EVO but not that much more. If the 901 produces a 10/10 in vapor, then the EVo would be 8/10 (just trying to put things in perspective)

I might also want to add that it seems that i can get a little more flavor on the EVO than on my 901. I do not know why.

Even with the outside of the plastic core and inside cart clean of juice, i still get the ocasional shot if juice in my mouth. That is something that is a design problem as it is not the users fault. With the 901, i get some juice in my mouth once in a blue moon.

This was definately made as a on the go e-cig rather than an inside your house e-cig.

So to summerize:

Dislikes-

The ocasional shot of juice in my mouth
The 5 second cut off
The took too many drags in a certain amount of period cut off
Refilling carts requires more work then the 901

Likes-

Shorter drag to produce vapor making it seem more like a real cig
Battery life
Size/weight
More flavor
Uses up most of the liquid inside the core
Throat hit

Edit - i forgot to add that intellicig sent me a wall mains charger instead of the USB charger i ordered. I sent an email about it but still yet to get a response.

once you get the usb charger you will have a whole new experience. charging a batt all night on the usb will result in much better performance all around. you may be overfilling your carts, and that is why you are getting mouth juice. use one less drop then push the wick back down to soak and pull it back up. there should be no juice puddle on the top. it is important to wash and dry your wicks as often as possible. this will help you. i have 3 batts and when i have power handy i often change the batt with each cart change. the usb charge is ultra fast. my evo performance is better than and just as reliable as analogs.
good luck
