I think I was up a little too late last night.
I got my Evo on the 23rd of March. (changed my life) I noticed pretty much right away one of the batteries was acting a little flaky, heating up the atomizer inconsistently, sometimes way too hot. Then I decided to see what makes it work.
I used a Dremel to cut the case off the battery. Then found a mechanical pencil I had laying around that was a perfect fit. Viola! It worked. My victory was short-lived and it was cool for about 10 min. Wish I could show how the led lit up the case. Unfortunately, as I had feared, the battery fried my atomizer 8-o forcing me to go buy analogs this morning. I am sick about it as I will have to wait for a new atomizer.
But on the upside, I think I can use the battery parts to make a mod that uses a flat camera battery or some other type. I have never soldered anything this small and when I was inspecting it, the battery wires broke off. Pretty fragile thin wires and small soldering on the mini circuit boards.
So anyone have any suggestions on soldering stuff to buy? How about what kind of battery I could use?
Thanks
Laurie
