Hi Yosam,

I love the Evo because it is:

- a great and reliable super mini e-cig
- auto battery allowing you to vape hands free - yes, I kinda like auto batts
- I only drip with the Evo which is super duper mega convenient. I never drip with the 510 for example.
- long lasting battery - the long battery lasting up to 8 hours / short one up to 6 hours depending on the usage
- better flavor than 510 imo

Cons are:
- less vapor
- less throat hit

I hope this helps you to make a decision

I started on a 510 and just bought an EVO. In short I'm loving it right now. I think it is fairly comparable to a 510. A bit less vapor. A bit less throat hit. A bit more flavor. I'm still breaking my EVO in though. They say it takes a few days, but so far I'm already happy with it. Its nice not to have to hold down a button to take a drag. Its also nice to not look like I'm smoking a ball point pen.

I use them both also ... started with the 401s switched to primarily the 510s. I really like the manual switch on the 510s ... with the 401s, especially the EVO, I constantly hit the 2 min shut off which is just annoying. I have killed a couple 401 batts and passthroughs due to over dripping also which the manual 510s are immune to. The battery life on the 401 is a little better but I have noticed the 510s charge quicker for me. The 510s also give you the option of an auto batt for hands free vaping if you wish but the 401 is lighter so my be easier to hold in mouth. When I use the 401s I pull the carteridge out and with the 510s the cart is better for topping off. Dripping on the 401s I get 5-6 good puffs when I get closer to 10 like I did with and analog by topping of cart while I drip with a 510. Just some thoughts. Used 401s for 3 months EVOs, Pilots, DSEs and I am all about the generic 510Joye now.

Sumratio,

Is the 401 same as EVO? I know there are different names for many of the e-cigs. I know I can get a 401 cheaper than an EVO. I like the 510 very much but I keep thinking there is some holy grail of ease of use and better performance.

I should probably just be happy with what I have and stock up on parts for the 510.

At least you know deep down in your heart what you really ought to do

Yeah but my heart and my brain have a hard time agreeing on what I should do. I get on the internet and see all of these PV's and juices and the credit card comes out.

I rationalize that I am doing a good thing. Saving money really..... right.....???

I am afraid to add up what I have spent over the past month.

In your bushes, watching you undress
If you want a 401 that seemingly everyone that owns one raves about (myself included!!) get a Dragon from Truesmoker.com

I vape my Dragon a little more than my 510s now honestly. The difference in vapor is negligible honestly, and I can't seem to hit the cutoff as hard as I try, I am in lust... and SOOO much easier to upkeep with the exposed bridge atty.

There will be a manual batt option from truesmoker soon also.

Battery lengths: 401 - longest, 402 - Evo size, 403 - very short. I think it's 89mm, 85mm and 83mm or something like that. Make sure you get the new 7 second cutoff 10 second downtime batts. Not sure if that's what litecig sells. Evo's 5 second cutoff is annoying, even though I only take a 4or5 second pull the atty hissing keeps the batt activated for another second or 2 and makes it hit the cutoff (and 2 MINUTE downtime). Evo carts are bigger and better than standard 401s but a little harder draw.

If you like VG based liquid and using carts, you will like the m4xx series. They vape the carts dry. I'm afraid of PG running into the battery, so I thicken it with VG or just use Ecopure or Vermont Vapor (both VG based) juice in mine.

.

Correct-o-mundo. I'm pretty sure litecig has the ones you're talking about the 7 second. Cause I haven't hit the cutoff on my m401's and the one I bought is the same as they sell.

steveo_tdo,

OK I need a bit of help. I went to litecig and I see M401, 402 and 403 but no explanation about the differences. Do you know?

Yosam

just get the 4xx ultimate kit. i did. you get 1 of ea batts, 2 attys and a case. they dont have the EVO cut off on the batteries. i got mine last week and love it. my 510 is now the back up PV for now. until i get the urge to spluge on something new. i was going to get a dragon but was always unlucky at ordering when they were in stock. i saw the kit that litecig had and dove in. im not knocking the dragon it looks really nice but for the money i spent i think i got a better deal. just my .02!:D

I don't have an Evo but i do own 510, m401,m402(my first ecig from smokeacali for $150)and a M401 PT, 510 PT.
What i like about the M4 series they are light weight, easy to hold and feel like analog, vapor is good but harder draw and much less thoat hit compare to 510. The most annoying on M40Xs are the auto batts super sensitive to noise and wind, it would ativate and vape away in your pocket or in its case when there are noises or wind. So far i like vaping my 4XJoye510s + 3chargers+ double USB car charger+ PT, im thinking about getting a DR7000LI for power backup on the go or for using with the PT, the 510 batt only last 45-60mins when i chain vape so.I use PTB for 510 and top off 6-10 drops compare to 2drops dripping on M40X is much better. For the 510 can produce good flavor when i take an easy short drag, less hot vapor=>more flavor.

Hope this could help making your decision !

Nick
