So I have been steadily vaping on two evod 650's for a solid 2 months. I am wondering how long the batteries on this will stay up to par? I have noticed that the power seems to die a little quicker now then say 2-3 weeks ago. I probably drain about 1 battery/day (although I am mostly using them both at the same time). I really like the small-form ego type batteries and prefer mostly stealthy set ups. Because of this, i'm concerned that I will need to be purchasing new batteries every 3 months or so. Is that normal?

With that being said, i'm thinking that I will need at least 2 backups all the time, in order to get a consistent vape. I guess that's the reason so many go to larger mods huh? Why is it then that i'm considering going with even smaller 450's??

My own experince, my ego sized batteries only lasted a few months. Part of that would have been due to a faulty charger too.

And yes it was a factor in getting a mod, where is a lithium battery itself went bad, I could change the battery and not have to dump the entire device.

After 2 months I would think you'd be ready to go to a mod, but if you can afford it, the smaller batteries do have a convience and portability factor; if you're chain vaping though, then they won't last long enough.

Depending on the real manufacturer, these batteries are all over the place. But the great thing about e-cigs (at least until the FDA kicks in) is that you can pick whatever you want. Since 2 650's are working for you, you certainly can try 3-4 450's if you like them better.

My tapeworm insists that I recommend an MVP instead. :)

One great "backup for your backups" is this:

I have a mod that I use strictly for my RDA, although i've put my clearos on it and enjoyed it, it's not conducive to my daily set up. I will definitely be looking into something that is not mechanical and i'm sure that's the move down the line. Sheesh this hobby can get expensive fast!

You can save some money (can't say how much exactly) by listening to opinions on forums.
I wasted far too much money trying "not to believe" that certain mods were just junk.
