First, I'd like to express my dissatisfaction with forum rules which preclude my posting in the proper forum. I suppose they've had issues with trolls and idiots, to which neither category I belong. Hopefully enough experienced vapers read this "newb" forum where I can get answers regardless.

I picked up a KangerTech Evod kit last Friday, and everything has been perfect until a few hours ago.

I knew by intuition that my battery should be low, but when I tried to charge it tonight, the charger light remained green. I continued to use it, and less than an hour later, it began to blink when pressed the button. No vape, battery dead. Still after plugging into the charger, the light remained green. My second battery still had life, though it hadn't been charged for two days. I plugged it into the charger, and again, green light.

Yes, I unplugged the charger, and removed the battery. Then I tried it again. And again.

I'm assuming the charger has simply died, but I'd like to hear from other Evod users if they've experienced similar failures.

I overpaid locally, so at least I can take it back tomorrow for replacement, but it really sucks right now and I'm tempted to pick up some stinkies after a glorious week enjoying just vape.

The 5 post rule is to control spam, it's easy enough to post five times either in your own thread or on other threads in the New Member's area, and then once the forum updates(every hour) you can post in other places. That said, the NM area is probably the highest traffic area, so you'll definitely get responses.

On to your issue. You may want to check the center pin on your batteries, it's possible they got pushed down a tiny bit and aren't making contact with the charger. You can take a pin/needle/paperclip and gently work them up a little so they make contact again.

Also, make sure you're always checking your batteries for leaked juice, you don't want juice in the connector when you put it on the charger.

Hope some of that helps, and definitely take the whole kit back to the store you bought it from so they can check it out too.

And welcome to ECF :D

Red light! Woot!

Thank you SupplyDaddy and Lessifer!

I had previously seen juice accumulated on the battery and cleaned that with a q-tip, but was astounded by the nasty black residue already accumulated on the charger. Seriously both ends of a q-tip blackened after one week. Wow.

Again, your advice has saved me from the peril of stinkies tonight and I am grateful.

p.s. I understand the rule and am completely sympathetic... I've also had my confidence renewed with respect to this forum. Thanks again, so much. I hope I didn't come off as a jerk.
