Hi all,

Relatively new to vaping, probably a month or so.

I started on a eGo kit, went through a few experiments and now am using the MVP v2 and an EVOD clearo.

I really really like the EVOD tanks. Drawbacks- well some have a very tight draw. I bought four and two of them have "usable" draw without needing to loosen the assembly a bit to allow more airflow.

But other than that- no gurgling, no burnt hits, dry hits- works really really well for me. Aside from capacity- this is a really good solution for me.

I see a lot of others raving about the aspire, iclear16/30, protanks, etc.. and not too much on the EVOD.

Has anyone moved to these other clearosfrom the EVOD for a specific reason, or flaw in the EVOD?

I love my EVODs! I also have an iClear 16, Protank and mini Protank 2. The iClear 16 was in my starter kit and it worked very well until the liquid ran low. Then you have to do the swish and swirl thing to use it up. I loved how easy it was to fill. I didn't love the way my cinnamon apple ruined it, though! The Protank is very airy & gurgles when the liquid is low but my cinnamon doesn't hurt it. I don't like the metal tip but inhaling plastic is worse so I live with it. I just started using my mini PT2 and my first impressions are that it has a better (much less airy) draw than the Protank, it's a little more difficult to fill than my EVOD's--less room to get the tip of the bottle in, and the removable tip doesn't seem to be as secure as the iClear 16 was. I haven't knocked it off yet so maybe it's just paranoia.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
Been vaping for 6 1/2 months and I started with Evods. I still use them the most out of all my clearos and glassos. I like the iClears in the winter because of the warm vape, but I hate trying to change a head - it's so easy to lose juice in these things. I've also used all the glassomizers out there (protank, davide, puritank, etc.) I only use Protanks when I want to either use the same juice a lot or if I have a tank cracker (rare.) Evods are really the most reliable and consistent. My only complaint about them is that the coating tends to chip, scratch or peel after a time (not all, but some have done this.) Beware the fasttech Evods are way inferior - don't be enticed by the low price. If you want evods at a low price, go to Mt. Baker. I really wish they'd go back to the short evods heads - I'm not a fan of the protank heads.

EDIT: forgot to address the post above - Innokin mods have a problem with the center pin being too low and many attys don't make contact. You can remedy this by pulling the contact up a little (I use a paperclip to wedge it and wiggle the pin up.)

I don't have any issues with it making contact, just the airflow. Or are you saying that I'm having to screw the Evod on too far down and that's why I'm getting almost no airflow?

I bought an Evod about 3 months ago and I love it. No leaks, good flavor and vapor production, and holds a reasonable amount of liquid. Mine was extremely airy when I got it. Not a flaw as some folks might prefer it that way. I put some JB Weld in two of the air holes at the base of the Evod and now the draw is much better.

I recently bought a SmokTech Aro Pyrex and in all honesty, it blows the Evod away in flavor, vapor production, and capacity. It brings out the best in most of my liquids but one of them does still taste better in the Evod.

I'm happy with my Evod but I've gotten rather spoiled by the performance of the Aro.
