I just got an evod mega . It is charging but the light won't turn on when I press it 5 times... Dose anyone know what to do?

Leave the button alone until it finishes charging for the first time.
5 rapid button presses, like all 5 within 3 seconds.

Thank you i will try this. I did have the tank attached at first but I've taken it off now. It also seems to be taking ages to charge . The light is still red .. ?
That's what I thought but its had a red light for close to 10 hours ..and I'm pretty sure that's not right?
Okay but just disconnect it from the charger and then try to turn it on.
By now it would have enough of a charge to work if it is working ok.
If not working then I'd take it back to where you got it for a refund.
are you using the proper charger for your unit? Sometimes using a in proper charger can cause problems like these.Did this charger come with the unit? If not, this could be causing the issue. if it is the proper charger, then I would return it for a refund or exchange. if your not using the proper charger, I doubt they will authorize a refund and you might have to just cut your losses and purchase a new one with its proper charger. hope this helps. best wishes.
Start by eliminating easy stuff...bad battery, bad charger (or too low on power mAh).
Well, if the red light come on then the cable is likely OK but you might try another if you have one. If you are using a wall wart, I might suggest it to be at least 1 amp. 10 hours is way too long...3-4 hours should be sufficient.
