If its hard to get them to draw, the reduced air flow may be causing you to hit them to hard and causing the flooding.

1 Check the air holes in the base, those can get gunked up and normal cleaning may not unclog them. Take a straight pin and push out any build up.

2 Check that your positive post on the head is not being mashed in so far that it deforms the insulator. If the insulator is bulging out it can restrict airflow. Back it out enough to relieve the bulge and when you reconnect to the battery don't crank it down to tight. Snug is all you need between the tank base and the battery.

Sorry to hear about your random floods. Have you tried the evod fix?

Fix to the gurgling leaking EVOD - YouTube

Thanks for the helpful video... I took all of my evod's apart and noticed their was juice on the top of that seal (which means it was getting past that seal)... Most links I had seen involved cutting up a piece of make a washer (ex. http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/1b0j5r/) (something I didn't really want to do because I dont have that many spares).

Kanger really should just make those pieces thicker or just make a washer and this problem would be solved without resorting to cannibalizing another coil.

A thought from a really old fart .......... I sometimes lay my T3S against my 'belly' while watching TV and it 'falls over' (lies horizontally). If I don't notice it it sometimes "floods" depending on how long it was "down".

Also -- when in 'the truck' )hey - I'm old, but I still get to go drive!) I put it in the center-console to hide it away. It is near "horizontal" and if I am gone a while it sometimes '"floods".

It's a task - but at home or in the truck - I keep a paper towel handy. I unscrew from the battery - paper towel in left hand - wipe off the bottom knurled connector - and place the drip-tip / mouthpiece just above the paper towel and "blow" semi-gently. Then I blow in short "puffs" to clear out the 'juice'.

I always find a very small bit of 'juice' on that 'gasket / grommet' - just a tiny-tiny amount but have never found it to be an issue UNLESS it is designed to have absolutely NONE. If so - perhaps that explains why I get the occasional 'flooding' when it is horizontal'. It's not enough of an issue for me to delve into it and I gather yours does it even when in a vertical position?? Just curious.

I 'rebuilt' with COTTON as well and at first USED TOO MUCH and after a short time or steady 'hitting' - YES - I "gurgled". A veteran told me to "USE LESS" and no more "gurgle". Just another "sudden thought" that came back to me. Good luck.
