Hey all, need a bit of advice please.

I vaped for a few months with an older kanger evod with a variety of coils, I think I liked the 1.8 the best, but started having problems with the battery not holding a charge and I ended up back on the smokes.

I just got a Kanger Evod Pro V2 and have some questions about it. It came with .5 and .1 clocc coils and I also got some 1.5s. I used to vape 12-18 mg net (naturally extracted tobacco) juices on the 1.8s and was satisfied.

First, the 1.5 coils aren't listed as compatible with it, but should be fine, right? I'm hoping they are since I'm not really looking for huge clouds, just to stop ciggys.

Secondly, with the 1 or 1.5 coils, should the nicotine be half of what I was vaping on the old evod?

thanks in advance

Resistance-wise, the 1.5 ohm coils should be compatible. However, coil compatibility depends upon the mechanical design and intended use of the coil to the tank device. Many tanks use proprietary coils designed specifically for a specific tank. Just because a coil is manufactured by Kanger does not mean that coil will be compatible with all Kanger tanks, if you understand my drift. What you can do is attempt to use the 1.5 coils you have to see if it even connects. If it makes a connection and fits in the tank properly, then it should be fine to use.

To answer your second question, you shouldn't have to half your nicotine concentration with the 1.0 or 1.5 ohm coils unless you notice you are getting dizzy, lightheaded, nauseous, or the vapor appears to be too harsh --- all signs of too much nic. We generally recommend halving the nic concentration if someone is using sub-ohm coils (0.1 - 0.9 ohm).
