I have recently bought the Kranger EVOD starter kit and while it performs quite well for a kit i have had a problem with one of the batteries. The battery has a charge but will not fire although the LED lights up like it should when pressed and the charger does not even recognize the battery is connected to it. I have tried to pull the middle connector up a tad with a needle and still nothing. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if any fixes have been found. Thanks

First, you need to determine if this is a connection problem. Do you have other toppers that will fire when atop the EVOD battery? If not, then you probably do have a connection problem. The center pin need to "release" by running a sharp oject around it in the drip well. A toothpick seems to do a good job. Once released, the pin should "meet" the topper and charging pieces and do fine. Use your backups to see if this is a battery problem or a topper problem, or a charging problem. Also, the resistance on the topper could be causing a no-fire short. This is one of the many reasons why you must have backups, so that, through a process of elimination, you can isolate where the problem is, then solve the problem. The EVOD kits have been recalled from earlier this year, so there have been some problems, perhaps unrelated, to your problem. good luck!

Often a charger will ignore a fully charged battery.

Do you have a multimeter?

You can read power with 1 connection touching the center pin of the battery and one touching the EGO threads while pressing the button.
If no reading, a Battery wire(Probably ground) is disconnected internally. Forget repairing and Return for replacement.

Hello! Here's a question though concerning the charger for the evod. I plugged my battery in to charge and the light on the charger doesn't stay lit..does that mean it's a defective charger? I've tried via plugging into the computer and also by the Ac adapter that came with the kit and still no red or green light
