Hey guys

Im getting a Smoktech SID for my wife. This will be her very first real VV/VW mod. I can pick one up on fastech for cheap but what tank should I get. I really like the EVOD bc i use a pro tank a lot and the heads are the same. Will the EVOD work ok on the SID? I would get her a pro tank but she doesn't want glass bc it may break if dropped.

If EVOD won't work i need another tank. No carto tanks. I would prefer to give her a bottom coil type for simplicity.

According to two different online vendors, the SID has both Ego and 510 threading. Therefore an Evod clearo would work.

I'd also suggest looking into the Innokin iClear 16 and 30 clearomizers. I've tried the Kanger Evod & Protank, and prefer the iClear 30 over all of them. It has a larger juice capacity (3 ml), dual top coils, 16 wicks, and a moveable mouthpiece. Plastic tank with stainless caps and mouthpiece. I found the flavor and vapor production to be superior to the other clearomizers. The iClear 30 is easier to fill than a bottom coil clearo as you only have to take the top off and do not have to remove the entire tank to fill. Because of the 16 wicks, I don't have to do the "tilt" that other top coil clearos need to keep the wicks wet. I was able to go over 2 months without having to change out the replaceable heads, with just weekly rinsing with water. Just my :2c:, this is a better clearo.

You could check out the PBC tank. It's a pyrex bottom coil (PBC) tank, BUT it has a protective plastic tank around the pyrex, so it's really durable as far as breaking. I have tile flooring in my home, and I dropped mine from about 4 feet on to it, and it didn't even scratch it.

Take a look at one here: PBC TANK

It's important to note that the evod/protank heads won't work on this one, so keep that in mind. This is made by Smok, and my wife and I have 4 of them. Very pleased with them!

Also, the advice Baditude gave you was good too. The Iclear30's are nice, and we own a few of those as well.

Hope this helps!

I would say that you should try the EVOD, and another ... maybe the iClear ... With the EVOD, you will be able to use the same coils in yours and hers, at least in the beginning, but adding the iClear will give her the opportunity to decide if she like the top coil or the bottom coil better. Remember, what works for you won't necessarily work for her.

YMMV!

$6.47 X10 Protank Atomizer (4.0ml) - black / 2.4

I have a couple of those X10 tanks and they work great. The coils that came in mine had a funny taste to them but once I put in a kanger evod coil they really came to life. They have a plastic tank with a metal sleeve and a pretty durable finish. I also love the fact that it has a flat top so I can sit it on the table while filling it. They work every bit as good as my evods.
