Evolv Kick 1 or 2?

OK here's the deal....I've been using VV3s and IBTanks. My First VV started to die after only 2 months and innokin wouldn't return emails so I decided that I didn't want any more of that. I just ordered a mech (Copper/Red Stingray clone) and I want to continue to use my carto tanks for now, until I break down and try a KFL+. I'm also going to run a kick. Money is a bit tight, at the moment, and I was thinking about buying the original Evolv Kick, as you can get them for $20. I know there's improvements to the Kick 2 besides just an extended wattage/amperage range and I don't know if I should, bite the bullet and buy the new one or not. I hate cheaping out and then deciding that I need something else. What do you guys and gals think?

Get a KF first and learn to build coils. You may decide you dont need a kick once you find your sweet spot with a build.

Thanks for your feedback. I wanted to use a kick for "out and about" and I wanted to still be able to use my carto tanks, because they are so trouble free.

I have both and the 2 has better quality contacts. Which is better? Not sure but I did get a dud k1 and sending it back next week.

If was going to buy one I'd spend a little more and get the K2.
