Hi I'm new here and just discovered ecigs in nov 2010.
I ordered from V2 and got the long battery which is the kr808d-1 which is 4.2 volts- 380mA/H
Don't know what the tech specs really mean but thought I'd include
I love the product when it works and no real complaints about the battery but v2's carts are junk -I have had over a 40% fail rate with them and am looking for an alternative.
I know very little about these but when i started with v2 was told cart was empty when it tasted burnt.
I now know the burnt taste is the polyfill burning and I do not want to inhale burning plastic
Is there a tank type cartomizer that will fit my battery?
I really want the thick loads of vapor I get with v2 when I have a good cart
If there is no tank carto that will fit my battery can someone recommend a good battery at least as good as what I've got now -I've never filled my own carts before so would like something simple with
lots of thick vapor
no polyfill or batting
safe-good flavor juice (usually like coffee and fruit or sweet flavors) been looking at ms t's
reasonable battery life

any help would be greatly appreciated
I've been looking at the joye eGo tank would this be a good choice-thick vapor production is my biggest concern

The eGo is a good battery, but the tanks get mixed reviews. People either love them or they really hate them. They can require some tweaking in order to get them to work right.

If you want lots of thick vapor then you'll want juice with more VG in it. This isn't going to work well with the tanks as thick juice won't wick well. The tanks usually work best with a 70PG/30VG mix.

Sent from a super smart phone with a really dumb user. Strike that! Reverse it!

When I was using my KR808D-1, I was so happy it got me off the cigs. But the battery did not last all day. The cartomizers needed filling so often it was just taking to much of my time. I started looking for different alternatives.
I wanted a PV that I could take to work and not worry about having enough cartomizers and juice to last me all day. I wanted to be able to be confident that my batteries would not run out several times a day.
I looked at the VV mods and saw that my juice problem would not be solved. Why would I want to have some huge battery and a cart to keep filling? Sure they are really sharp, precision made and big, but unless they have a juice bottle hanging off the side, they would not work for me.
I saw different tank systems, but they seemed to have problems of their own. When the battery would not hold a charge you had to replace half the PV.
The REO seemed the perfect choice. I looked at the other box mods that are out there also. But I was sold on the REO because it was mechanical, sturdy, and got good reviews all around. It also seemed to be well crafted with top of the line materials. The Grand and Mini are made of aircraft grade aluminum.
I bought my first a Grand in the classifieds.
Now 5 months later I have just purchased my 7th REO.
My vaping needs have been met, with simplicity and quality.
Yes, they are that good!!

If you want to stay with your current batteries, check out Vapor4Life...they sell pre filled cartos that will fit your batteries...I don't remember getting any 'duds' from them...they also sell empty cartos that you can fill yourself....filling or refilling cartos is really very easy...it can save you some cash also....

The ego style batteries are great....they can last all day between charges....they wont be compatable with the cartos you have from v2....
As far as the tanks?...they worked ok and I liked them for a while, but eventually the atomizer wicks get clogged up, and need cleaning, or rebuilding, or adjusting....yeah, some fiddling required....it seems to be better with light, thinner liquids, but coffees and thicker juices....hmmm...
I still use the batteries, but I direct drip onto an atomizer, or I use them with 510 cartos...I have abandoned the tanks...so we're back to the cartos again....they really are easy to fill, and they work fine as long as you keep them moist...

Now, If you're willing to think outside the tube shape, and would consider a mod, like nerak said, the Reo is the best purchase I have made...I have 'several' Reos, and they are what I use all day, everyday...they work with any juice, they are pretty maintenance free (need to change an atty once in a while, oh bother, lol) and I love them...
My sig has a link if you want to take a look...

Anyway, there are a couple of options for you....I'm sure others will offer even more...
Good luck...

Oh, and did I tell ya that cartos are really easy to refill?

Peace.

KR8/V2 batteries are not really 4.2v. They are 3.7v batteries and only read 4.2v for a short time after a fresh charge. Only bs vendor claim they are "4.2"

Most slim ecigs are less than 3.7 so the KR808D-1 is a strong battery for a slim ecig.

I use the Vapor4Life blanks. I also just bought some blanks at Madvapes to try (should be about as hot as the Vapor4Life WOW carts)

At Vapor4Life I recommend you try WOWbacco (a cocoa tobacco, or WOWBoy if you want it with mint added), and WOW Vanilla (a sweet Marshmallowy vanilla)
