This chart should help with selecting the right resistance cartomizer or cartridge based on the voltage of your PV. This image is a picture of the original worksheet that has conditional formatting for colored cells. The safe range in this image is from 4 to 8.5 watts. Any combination of voltage and resistance that burns between 4 and 8 watts is highlighted in green. Red is burning too hot and may blow an atomizer and yellow is not enough power and may not produce vapor at all. The safe range can easily be changed which instantly changes the color formatting.
This is still a work in progress and I may release the original worksheet when I have reviewed any input from the forum.
Hopefully this attachment will work. Cells that can be changed include.

1.) min p or minimum wattage
2.) max p or maximum wattage
3.) resistance axis
4.) voltage axis

This should be stickied. I see this confusion everyday on ECF. I built an excel file like yours, but the axes were reversed. Good stuff.

Power (watts) are what is important.

6 to 7.5 is what I guess most people prefer. Depends on the juice. I like heavier juices like tobacco or coffees higher at like 7 watts. And lighter fruity or sweet stuff at 6.5 or lower.

What resistance atomizer should I get? What ohm atomizer should I buy? Why do my juices taste burnt? Why am I not getting much vapor? What is the best cartomizer to buy?

I know this is post a few months old but it took me this long to see your post. How would this post get sticked? Is there something I could do. I also see the confusion on the message boards and maybe this sheet could help some understand how to select the correct atomizers and cartomizers.

I forgot to mention that the resistance and voltage axis can be changed, as well as the min and max wattage, to more closely match your own equipment.

Im sorry, I did not test it on open office which I should have. I think its a great free office style application. I dont think I will be working on it for sometime but you are welcome to give it a go. The password to unlock the sheet is kayla. If you have any trouble send me your email and ill send you an un-protected version.
Thanks for you interest,

Agreed, I'm about to get a lava tube (still pondering) and this is going to make a world of difference in terms of exPerimentation, thanks

I am very ashamed to admit this, but I am beyond horrible with math and charts. Graphs, especially. I know, I should be able to comprehend what this means on a mundane level, but some things just never clicked for me. Should I read the left side of the chart from bottom to top, or top to bottom? Do I slide my finger across the top horizontal chart, then slide it down? Gah. I cannot emphasize how bad I am with math and the things associated with math. Again, this is not laziness on my part, my brain HURTS when I try to figure the math out. I always get it wrong. I'm embarrassed by this.

My Kgo VV is a pretty rocking battery (650 mAh), but it doesn't take long to drain the charge. Maybe 2, 3 hours of normal vaping? My Torpedo VVV (aka Lavatube), with a fully charged 18630 li-ion battery, will last me close to two, two and a half days.

The effects of the Kgo VV and my Torpedo VVV are about the same, bu the battery in my Torpedo VVV lasts for freakin' ever.

Figure out what your resistance is (left side of chart).

Some VV mods will supply that reading. Most carto's or atty's have a specific resistance category they fall in. If your in doubt check your order or the site you ordered your carto's/atty's from.

Then follow your finger to the right of the resistance you believe you are to the right targeting the green squares.

Look at the top of those columns and that is your targeted voltage range for a vv device.

I think the values in the squares themselves are wattage's. So if you have a VW device the values in the green squares along the line of resistance (left column) to the green square (finger right) and those are your targeted watts.

I believe this is correct.

Should be easy to macro that. So that you can just enter a resistance in a field which returns the voltage/wattage ranges for that resistance. Been years since I have worked with spreadsheets. I may poke around with it.
