Just wanted to post the few things I experienced with the E1. Seems like Discount Vapers is the only place these are available; that's great! Customer satisfaction seems to be top priority in their operation. Always got great ship and response times, and always got what I ordered. Great job!

Anyway, I got a couple E1's and some replacement innards (which I haven't had to use yet). Tightened up the screw connection on the bottom, filled it up with some cigar juice I like and which has good vapor, screwed it on my ego battery and gave it a go. Good easy draw. Much better draw than the Stardusts; more in line with a Boge cartomizer. Even after vaping it a while, I wasn't satisfied. Just wouldn't get warm enough and produced very little vapor. Did a little reading and some measuring, and discovered that the resistance was higher than expected. Mine measured out to be 3.2 ohms. Just a little high for the ego to get cranking. I then put it on my VV and started cranking it up. Got up to about 4.5 volts and it worked OK, but I had to draw on it like a vacuum, or the juice would burn. Just didn't seem like it was wicking good enough for the amount of air which these would allow through. Kept using it, since it not only looked good and held a fair bit of juice, but if you hit it hard at that voltage it wasn't all that bad. Still liked the Stardusts better.

Got in the truck today and hit my PV with my hand. Busted loose the E1 tank from the base and juice went everywhere! Quick like I kinda pushed it back together and laid it in the seat with a rag until I got home. Took it inside, and the thing had gone back together so well I really couldn't tell it had ever loosened. While I had it apart, I took off the innards and washed them off. I was noticing that it had two very small wicks protruding from each side. VERY small wicks. Pulled the silicone cap off and the top wick was as I figured, just a dummy wick laying on top of the coil. To do my modding, I finished rinsing the wicks and coils, and then removed the small dummy wick. Grabbing an inch long piece of wick from an old clearomizer, I then replaced the small dummy wick with a larger one. I then took and cut two small notched on the sides of the silicone cup where it goes over the wicks to prevent any restriction. Put it back together, and filled it with GV gummy bears juice.

Oh yeah, now this thing started to come alive. Wicked super well and doubled the vapor. Using this juice, I could take any kind of hit at 4.5 volts that I wanted without any burnt taste or juice destruction. Turned the voltage down to 4; no good. Started turning the voltage up, vapor got better and better. Finally stopped at 5.5 volts! The hit at this level would knock your socks off! Still no burnt taste. Doing my calculations, this turns out to be over 10 watts. Haven't tried it yet with other juices; a sweet juice will probably go south at that level. But, I'm gonna do this to my other one also as it seems to suffer the same problem.

If you have VV, give this mod a try next time you have your E1 apart. :)

i have found the same. i vape vg liquids ,and had pop a couple coils and a few dry hits. did the same thing notched out the silicone cap, just a little bit, and now its perfect wicking is awesome, taste is great, and coils are lasting alot longer. the tubes are not really that big of a deal. a little super glue on the bottom of the ring slide it back in and better than new. also i hate ego connections , so i took a piece of 80 grit sand paper and sanded down the skirt over the connector so you can use a regular 510 to 510 adapter. now to put the apollo tank through its paces !

What a great idea sanding down the skirt. I order those adaptors like crazy and am forever losing them! Now I know I'm not going to be dead in the water when I can't find one! Thanks!

I modified an E1 atomizer piece, I removed the short top wick then I took a piece of long wick from another clearo and laid it over the coil in place of the original short wick. Then I used a clipper to cut a very small v in either side of the silicone cap to accommodate the larger wick and trimmed the length to the bottom of the tank. The vapor production is night and day. I can even run this at 4v on the v8 the vapor is thick, large and flavor is popping. I am getting some wick and trying this on my other E1's.

Just got mine today and have been vaping with it on my ego 650 for about an hour. So far I love it! Seems to give more flavor and vapor than my Stardust. After reading some reviews about the flimsy tank, I expected much worse, but this tank seems fine. It's certainly thinner than a Stardust or DCT, but fine for me. Hopefully this thing holds up, it's my new favorite cart/clearomizer...

Been using it as my only cart for a week, but I finally am beginning to see the poor quality of these. I was going fine until yesterday when I took it apart and cleaned it. After some dry hits to get it back going and screwing everything back together, it started leaking bad. Tried everything to get it to stop, but couldnt fix it. Finally, the top piece (that's glued) came off and wouldn't pop back on. Grr. Luckily I have a spare tank, but I see that the glue marks are similar. Hopefully this one will last longer... I'm hopeful that a better quality tank can be made for this because I really like how it vapes when it works...
