Super sub-ohming isn't dangerous in the same way that a tossed grenade that misses it's target isn't dangerous

Super sub-ohming pretty much qualifies as dangerous by definition. Let's not minimize what a word means.

Maurice

It's not likely to cause injury. All batteries are dangerous by definition.

Maybe we should for once get ahead of the media. When they put a picture of this out, respond with a car wreck, a cellphone melt, a guy shooting the rapids, house fire due to an electrical short, candles, kerocene heater, etc. Anymore examples? :D

How about when Richard Pryor set himself on fire while smoking a controlled substance?

Stupidity is everywhere, you can't get away from it. I bet even at NASA there are DOH! moments. That's just the human race for you.

I would like to know what you do with someone like this?:facepalm::facepalm:

I would Start by Taking Away his Ability to Post Vids to the Internet.

BTW - If a mod gets Hot Enough that you have to Hold it with a Dirty Dish Towel, shouldn't that be a Sign that Maybe you are Doing Something Wrong?

I Cringe when I read Threads about Someone who has Never Used an e-Cigarette, knows Nothing about batteries, and then wants to know what Wire to buy to make a .3 ohm coil for their Brand New Mech Mod.

Or the one I read yesterday, some new guy wanted to know if it was safe to stack ICR batteries, in a mech. Baditude put him straight real quick, but I wonder how much attention he'll pay the good advice he was given.

I saw that idiot earlier too. Not sure what the stupidest part was. Maybe the fact he's holding the mod with a thick towel should be an indicator something might not be right? Or stretching out a collapsed spring? Nevermind we can't be bothered with seeing the math is way, way off.

I don't know why, but I actually find the stupidest thing of all the absolutely pathetic results he's getting. It's like, he doesn't even know what he's trying to do. He should have known LONG before the mod even got unhandleable that it wasn't the way to go.

It's not likely to cause injury. All batteries are dangerous by definition.

I have watched an atomizer's resistance fall by 0.2 with voltage applied. 0.3 ohms might be one thing(I don't subohm, but I won't judge), but if you are proclaiming that those hitting the <0.1 range are not acting dangerously, then that's ignoring fact.

He's not even blowing clouds. Pathetic is right.

The thousands of people sub ohming as we speak who have never even vented a battery, including many of the people posting in this thread.

Of Course there are.

But there are also People like the Rube in the Video that was Posted, or the Dude at that Vapor Blast meet who have had Very Different Results.

Um, if you don't use an genuine vape towel/vape mitt on a daily basis, I'm pretty sure you're the crazy one.

Only $1.38 at fasttech for a 5 pack, free shipping!! I just wish they came in red, so I wouldn't have to throw 'em away after they get stained from regular use :(

Well..as bad as I sometimes think it is here on ECF mod wise and even some people wise..I have so many to thank for showing me THE RIGHT WAY TO USE A MECH MOD!
Thank you to all that helped me understand about the safety aspects of the things. Battery safety too even though I knew a little about recargables I never knew what I needed to know about them in the respect to using them in mods.
I've never been one to think I knew it all anyway and I'm 56 years old. lol :p

Those Vaping Towels from Fasttech are just Cheap Clones. And the Shipping Takes Forever.

I would Suggest that Vapers use a Genuine NOMEX Fireproof Vaping Towel.
