Do you seriously get a better taste from the cartos than the tanks? I definitely think my tanks give out much better flavor than my cartos, but maybe I'm not using the best ones(Smoktech Dual Coil). What types of cartos do you use if you don't mind me asking?

I'm using Boge LR cartos. I think because tanks give a cooler vape you get less flavor. I've only had issues with tobacco based flavors. The fruity ones seem to work better in the tank for some reason. I've found that Bobas in a carto is the way to go. You can really appreciate the subtle nuances of the mix.

You know, if your only problem is that the tank gives off a cooler vape, you could always invest in a VV device.

You said you prefer the LR carto, but, with a variable voltage device, you could use any atomizer/cartomizer/tank and adjust the temp/flavor to your preference.

I don't know if adding a flavor bump would change the integrity of the juice, or not. I've never attempted it because I only order 100ml bottles now :D

I haven't looked into VV devices as I was concerned about becoming accustomed to very high voltage. What would you recommend that would be similar in profile to the ego? Is it possible to apply too much voltage at which point you would no longer be vaping but smoking?

I wouldn't worry so much about being accustomed to high voltage. Actually, the voltage is but one element of achieving vaping zen. Depending on the resistance rating of whatever you're using i.e. cartomizer, atomizer, tank, etc, the voltage is what will drive it, yes, but if you're using a higher resistance carto et al, the over all power will be at a 'comfortable level'.

Let me just put those words into an easier example:

Let's say right now you're using an eGo style battery, (which typical runs at ~3.3-3.4volts), with a 2.0ohm resisted cartomizer. Using Ohm's law, the overall power you're using is around 5.7watts.

The equation is as followed: Voltage x Voltage / Resistance = Power, or, 3.4v x 3.4v / 2.0ohms = 5.7watts

Okay, so now let's say that you LOVE the way 5.7watts tastes but uh oh! You no longer have any 2.0ohm resisted cartos et al. Now what? Variable Voltage, my friend, is the answer. Let us say that instead of a 2.0ohm carto you now have a 3.0ohm carto, well all you would have to do is adjust the voltage (in this case, higher) to equate to what you're used to and what you love.

Now, without using all of the math, (which honestly, isn't even necessary), with any device, including VV, it's all about what tastes and feels good to you... not some number. So, if you decided to try VV on your eGo, you can grab a product called the eGo booster, which turns your eGo into a VV device, for a relatively decent price. (I will not post the link in this thread without Ben's permission, since this product is from another store). However, just search eGo booster in the search box and you should have no trouble finding it (or just google it).

As for the other inquiry, no, you cannot apply too much voltage to the point where you're actually smoking e-liquid. I mean, yes, there is always a way to reach that temperature, but, it's highly unlikely. In fact, I think it's dangerous to reach those levels of heat with PG/VG? (Not 100% sure on this?)

But you've no worries of that nature. Unless you're using a home-made carto et al (with a low enough resistance), most, if not all, devices won't let you reach a high enough level of voltage to achieve the said temperatures.

Sorry for the long post, I hope any of this will aid you.

Hehe, he said "Vaping Zen" that is pretty much how I felt when I found the "perfect setup" when vaping. The right device, the right voltage, the right atomizing device, and the right juice... sweet zowie wowie! BAM! "Vaping Zen"...OoooooooooommmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmmMMmmmmMMM.

Ok,to reach that plateau please lead me to the correct path,Ke-mo Sah-bee :D

Not to mention the fact that silly me just realized that I'm not using low resistance atties either:( 274536177066DOH.jpgDoh!

To answer the OPs original question, yes, just ask for extra flavor in the order comments.

Did this for my last order of Bobas as my taste buds were still recovering from the analogs. Lots of flavor, however, I noticed that it seems to hose up cartos quicker.... they get a funky taste after a few days (Boge 2.0s). I don't notice this with my other juices, nor did I with the regular flavor strength Bobas.

I figured I would try the flavor bump in hopes to reduce the nic level because 24 mg taste the best.
Here are my impressions of the bumped up 12mg

Banana ok
Blend #4 ok
Gorrilla juice ok
Havanna... Bad! This really makes me sad, havanna used to be my go to vapegasm all day try to take it from me and end up leaking top of line better than sex juice.
I gave away the last 2 100 ml bottles I purchased. If that havanna had a flavor bump in it I would say multiply that X10 and reduce it down for a couple hours then maybe I will start air humping again like the old days.

No offense, Ben is awesome and has always offered to take them back, I am sure the bottom feeder atty combo has a lot to do with my flavor issues.

I use the best PV's and best atty money can buy (REO's and HH357's) but I think considering the LARGE amount of people using the same configuration and sharing the same opinion as me we should have an option to beef that flavor up so that it taste like it should...

Ben love ya and everything you have contributed to the community, there are not many gods here and you are one of them.
REO, Cisco and Alienvision are the only vendors that should exists in my opinion.
(with almost 3 of years of vaping and $1,000's spent I have earned the right to make a bold statement like that!)

I got to get off the 24mg but cant without the flavor, friggin help me man!
I would pay you whatever for a bump up test ranging from you what you think is ok to gross...
If you sent me the best you can do please tell me so I can end this what seems like a life time of trying over and over and move on.

Thanks,

No bump for Bobas? Thinking of trying this on my next order but lately I've been noticing the graham cracker/bready taste come thru a lot more. Thought it was the carto filler material but loaded up a new carto and it tastes much better. I ordered some sweetener and will see what Bobas tastes like with a bit more sweetness.

I feel in love with Havana Gold but I'm not enjoying it as much as I used to. A bit perfumey this time around. Maybe a little steepage will tone it down. Can't even imagine a flavor bump on that one.

nuggetz, I believe they will flavor bump Bobas. They did for me.

However, I have since vaped all my flavor bumped Boba and had to reorder. I decided to go with standard flavoring, and am somewhat glad I did.

Why? Bobas is strange in that I get different flavors every time I go back to vape it, as I vape many flavors throughout the day. There were times I could swear I was vaping a Pepsi with the flavor bumped version (which somewhat confirms the belief some have that the 'secret' ingredient is cola flavor). It wasn't bad per se, it was just sometimes overpowering.

With the standard version, it's much more balanced and seems to have a nicer tobacco smoothness to it.

Hope this helps...

I just started asking for it to be sweeter and they hooked me up! It does seem to be thinner than usual. Everytime I go back to vape I get diff flavors! Love it!
Really? I figured the flavor bumped versions might be thicker. I love BB so much, I've just had a hard time getting it to perform well in a carto for more than about a day or two.

Now there is an option to check for a flavor bump during the checkout, but I'm not sure if it is possible to specify the bottle concerned or if everything will have a flavor bump with this option. I mean, imagine you order two bottles, one of BB, the other one of Hype. You only want a flavor bump on BB, if you check the option every bottles will have a flavor bump right? Maybe it is possible to specify this in the comments?
