Hello folks,
Just got my first e cig, a kamry k300. Love this thing, even bought a pg/vg solution and some flavors to make my own e liquid. However I already burnt through on of the atomizer coils...I have been reading around and researching as much as possible but can't find any clarity on the tank/atomizer/cartridge/coil whatever it is. What is this thing???? Is it a vivi nova style atomizer, clearomizer, cartomizer or is it just an atomizer coil or what?? Some laymen's terms would be great because all the abbreviations and acronyms are killing me.

Can you post a pic of it so we can be sure what it is. We can definitely help with pics.

It looks like this

If it came with the Kamry kit for the K300 then its a safe bet its a CE4 generic coil head which are very easy to find but not noted for their long life as they are designed for the cheapest and most disposable replacement head clearomisers.

I'm not au fait with the CE4 stuff but I imagine there are good ones out there that won't toast in a few days like the really rotten cheap ones do.

Is there an alternative with a longer life?

i would recommend buying some Kanger Evods or even a Mini Protank 2 they last longer and you can easily rebuild them if you want to not have to purchase replacement heads.

How does this function as opposed to the setup i have now?

And is it a direct fit? Will i be able to use the tank guard i have now?

I would imagine you want to keep the hybrid look of the K300? As EBates is pointing out there isn't much else you can put in there and keep it working.

Might have to do a try n buy with some vendors, luckily they are double cheap, I noticed on NorthWest Vapors there are CE5/CE4 single coil and dual coil heads in various ohm ratings, I was thinking a dual coil 1.8ohm head might be quite a difference to the usual ones.

Here's the link but I am hoping that someone with more experience will be able to assist you better :)

That doesn't seem costly, wondering if anyone has experience with the heads and can shed light on which ones last the longest.

How long did you have your vape before your coils burnt? I ask because you make it sound like they lasted maybe a 3 - 5 days. If this is the case, your 5 pk will last you barely a month and I can assure you you're going to get annoyed by spending more than you want just on coil heads and juice replacements a lone.

I suggest looking at an upgrade in to something that has can have multiple tanks / clearomizers. Just a suggestion!!

I would reocmmend the eGo system or Kangertech EVOD system. Both are great entry level kits.

I think I didn't keep it saturated well and it burned the wick, the second one that came with the vape has lasted me 2 weeks and still going
