Eye Twitching

I started using my e-ciggs about a two months ago and am happy to say I will never smoke a "real" cigarette again! YAAAAYYYYY but I have noticed one weird side-effect....My left eye keeps twitching

Anyone else having this problem? It has never happened to me before. I don't know if it's an effect from quitting real cigarettes or what! I have also noticed some breakouts on my face but I have read that that is a side-effect from quitting regular cigarettes.

This eye twitch thing is very strange...I just want to make sure it's not something serious. I sure hope not because these e-ciggs are the best thing that has ever happened to me!!

It could be a brain tumor!!! Just kidding. If it doesn't cause any problems with your job or any other areas of your life, there is probably no real issue to worry about. If it is effecting than you should see your doctor. It sounds just like a neurological condition that will go away.

It could be stress. Just speaking from experience, when I get stressed I tend to twitch.
Also, sometimes muscle spasms can be caused by dehydration, so make sure you're getting plenty of fluids.
But if it bothers you alot, talk to your doc.

Eye twitch is caused by stress.
You just have to figure out the what is causing the stress.

I too had eye twitching , and it was due to DE-hydration , in my case . So drink lots more water . And welcome to the forums .

I think it's really important to be cautious about diagnosing things without adequate information and without being qualified to diagnose. A neurological symptom could be indicative of any number of things that would warrant checking into, and only a medical professional is qualified to do so. If you have a symptom develop suddenly that persists (given that you say you started vaping 2 months ago and you have linked the eye twitching to your vaping, I am assuming this has been going on for about the same amount of time), then you are best to seek out the advice of your doctor.

I know this is an old obscure thread but I'm having the same issue - my left upper eyelid is twitching and I think it might be due to my blu e cig. I don't know what to do about this. I know this isn't exactly the place for medical advice but I was wondering if anybody had any quick solutions.

I had an eye that twitched off and on for 2 months once. Wasn't using ecig at the time. Really no explanation so I just ignored it and it went away.

I wouldn't worry much. If vaping gives you violent projectile ........ or uncontrolled farts that may be a different story.

I've had the same thing happen as well and there was no connection to vaping. That said, dehydration can cause muscle twitching. So can a lack of potassium, which often accompanies dehydration. Eat a banana and drink plenty of water. No kidding. I had a leg spasm that wouldn't go away one time. A pint of water and one banana later it disappeared!!!

I've had the eye twitching thing my whole life to a very minor degree - stress and lack of sleep will contribute for sure.

Stress can be good (eustress) or bad (distress) and a major change in lifestyle like switching from analogs to vaping stresses the body.
Drinking LOTS of water and eating bananas are also good suggestions.
