Eyewitness News tonight at 11pm to talk about a "hidden danger" in ecigs

While watching the extended news coverage earlier today for yet another snow storm here in CT they announced that an e cigarette report was to be on the news at 11 pm tonight. I don't know if Eyewitness News is the same everywhere or if this is just on the local CT news stations but I thought I would mention it in case any of you want to watch for it. Here is what the guy said:

Eyewitness News at 11. Billed as a healthier alternative to tobacco, tonight Eyewitness News exposes a new danger hiding in e cigarette. The potentially deadly drug leading to more kids ending up in hospitals every year.


I will try to watch this in case it doesn't air everywhere and post more tomorrow. This makes me sad because you certainly don't see any special reports about the drastic improvements it has made in our lives.

Oh well, we will see what they say.

Most likely another slam piece. Please keep us informed. Big tobacco and medical insurance companies are getting out of hand with the anti-e-cig propaganda.

All ingredients of e juice is found in food. How could combining them and vaporizing them be the magical cause of some cancer or illness? It logically makes zero sense.

The only hidden danger to e-cigs is to the obscene profits of BP and BT. Nothing more, nothing less.

E-cigs cut into the profits of pharmecutical companies that sell patches and gum that doesn't work very well and costs a fortune to buy behind the counter. As for the ANTZ, their real motive is to look for a handy scapegoat to hate, so they're using vapers as such scapegoats. They're killjoys who can't stand it when someone successfully quits analogs. Their hatred and self-righteousness are insatiable.

I'll set the DVR for tonights broadcast and see what they have to say - I'm sure it'll be something about the nicotine in the liquid, though how that's a "hidden" danger I don't know. (like alcohol is a hidden danger is a bottle of vodka)

I had to go out and clear snow after I posted this and I want to say thanks to the other CT members who got on here and let you know what network it is. I have it set to record also but may stay up and watch. After spending an hour clearing snow though it may be early to bed.

Since they said "kids" I am thinking it may be due to kids getting into their parents juice and drinking it. We will have to see how they spin this whatever it is. I am sure that there will be several of us posting on this in the morning and I appreciate the other CT members offering to watch/record this and I am sure they will offer their take on it too.

Thanks LimeFox for posting this link. I read this and can't believe that they made such a big deal over something that causes the least amount of poisonings out of all the things they listed. I wonder if there aren't some people at BT, BP or the government that just look for things like this to use and make sure that they get to the newspeople.

I bet the teaser is more controversial than the actual story. It's going to be a good piece of sensationalism so transparent that most people will roll their eyes. I still think a majority of people don't know or care to know about vaping. They'll prolly forget about it before their head even hits the pillow. It's the loud, self-righteous, do-goody few that seem to cause the problems.

Another "danger" might be that vapers are no longer willing to be verbally whipped into shame by the self-righteous. So the perpetrators of hate have to look elsewhere to get their jollies.

I read something earlier about adding the same ingredients they use in {OTHER STUFF} to ejuice liquids to get around the bans on selling the stuff. That's probably what this report is going to be about.

There is also a "study" going around where they found tin or something in an e-cig sample. From an old brand that may not even exist anymore. It aired here in KC but on NBC if I remember.
