Wow! I just saw an ad on TV for the EZ Smoker!! I love this because all the right points were made about how it works, how its better for you and those around you. The ad didn't say it was to help you quit smoking. I don't love it because they really played up the fact that you could use it anywhere and showed a guy using it in a restaurant and being confronted by a waitress who went away smiling after he "put it out on his hand". And then there was the lady who said she uses it at her desk at work. I guess it bothers me because we all know that we don't want to be too confrontational about it and turn people off. It's great because it's educating the public in a BIG way. I didn't like the purchasing plan at all though: they say they will ship it to you for free but you sign up for a monthly plan where they send you the cartridges and they don't say how much they will cost you-you have to call for that info. But hey, it's a national TV ad, how cool is that?!

I saw that one night too, I laughed my ... off as I vaped my 510. I hope anyone who wants to get that thing finds this forum first before dumping their $$ and getting turned off the whole e-cig idea because of some scam company trying to rob people. I personally think comercials like that will hurt this FDA deal we are all faced with, but wtf do I know.

I personally wouldn't trust anyone except a knowledgeable e-cigarette user to inform people. This forum is doing a lot of good, approaching the e-cigarette issue with a rational approach to the questions that are actually important.

I have found that as more and more people become tech savy, they will always go online to check out the buzz on a new product. Hopefully that will lead them to sites like this one where they can learn that there are cheaper/better products out there. The main thing is that one commercial that I just saw was also seen by thousands of other people, smokers, people who love smokers, politicians, business owners, healthcare workers...it just reached alot of the people that we want to educate. That alone makes it more a good thing than a bad thing. You can see the same commercial if you go to their website. Just search for EZSmoker.

Here in the states there are two companies doing the same exact thing :( Inhalerette and smoke assassin.. same ship it free and send you carts for an astronomical price. There are very bad things on the smoke assassin site though :( They say it will help you quit smoking and that each cart is = to 1.5 packs of smokes.... on what looks to be a 401 style device.. pure blasphemy!

I havent seen the ads for EZ Smoker yet,but have seen the Inhalerette and visted their site. Typical overpriced unit (that I didnt ID) and a cartridge order program.EZ Smoker looks like a 4081.
But as long as Im seeing ads for them on National TV,I guess that means no ones going to be beating down my door to try to take my PV.

To be honest, I was roped into vaping via this rip-off style advertising. It's unethical, it's sleazy, but it DOES work as far as getting the general word out. The ad I fell for was by SmartSmokerUSA, same type of advertising: "free" trial, cart-buying program. I've had to do the same thing others have done: do my own research, get off the cart program, get better product. It's probably happened to dozens and dozens of people here. But like I said, it does work.

I can see there's been a general spike of membership and activism here at ECF just within the last couple of months. I'm one of those new voices. This happened after a spate of e-cig ads hit TV, radio, and popular web sites (like Salon). When I saw the ad on Salon, that's when I had to try it. I went through my mistakes, chalked up the $50 loss to pay for the advertising that reached me (even though I didn't like it, nor the actual low-quality product I received), and moved on from there. Sounds like a lot of people's stories here.
