I really need to get my facebook account straightened out. I'm locked in some security check thing where I have to match my FB friends names and pics, but most of them are internet contacts only, so I have no clue what they look like.

Go and look at their photos, it gives you time to do so. Had the same issue.

What do you mean? When I try to log on, I get redirected to the security question routine. I can't even see my list of friends, let alone their pics. They show one pic, amd give me a list of friends names to match it to. They do several of those, and apparently I have to get them all right, or I get booted.

What I need to do is find a number to call, I just haven't gotten aaround to doing it.

I clicked the link in your signature line for e-smoker-forever. You haven't updated that in a couple months, no mention of the Trifecta.

Nevermind, I'm back in! (Yay!)

I just tried it again, and for the first time it gave me a second option for a security question. It asked me to verify my birthday.

Now, I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but isn't your birthday a kind of lame security question? I mean, don't most people share that as part of their profile? Not to mention, births are public records, so theoretically anyone's birthday can be found if you know how to search for it. Well, whatever, I'm back in my account!!

At least you can get to it. Everytime I try it flashes on the screen for a quick second, then redirects to a 404 page not found error. Same thing happens when I try to go to my back-end management page.

I need an IT guy. Not for Bloog, just for me!

Wow, talk about bonuses! When I logged in, besides all the usual unanswered friend requests, I found one from a friend I hadn't heard from in about 7 or 8 years, and another from someone who knew my Dad in the Air Force back in the 60s at Elmendorf AFB in AK.

Oh, and one of the ads on the right side was for a company selling soft matresses and toppers to expats like me. I've always noticed that the beds are always too damn hard here, I guess it isn't just me.

I am laughing so hard I'm crying...

Get this, I mentioned that an old friend I hadn't heard from in years contacted me on FB, right? Well, he's Chinese American, so I thought he'd be interested to hear that I'm living in China now. Nope, he was all worried because he had heard from our mutual friends that I got in trouble in Cambodia, and was last seen homeless and penniless, living on the beach in Pattaya, Thailand!!

See, I did go to Cambodia years back, and had a great time scuba diving, jungle hiking, seeing the ruins of Angkor Wat, etc., no trouble at all. But later, one of our mutual friends took a trip to Thailand, and found a Thai newspaper with an artical about gun smugglers in Cambodia. And the pic for the article showed a Cambodian gangster checking a bunch of guns, who just happened to look a lot like me! Enough like me that he managed to convince everyone we knew in Pattaya that it WAS me, and I had been busted and sent to Cambodian prison!!

I have to admit, that's probably the best prank anyone's ever played on me! I spent my next vacation explaining that, no, I am not a gun smuggler, I was not sent to Cambodian jail, and no, I don't have gang connections now.

Well, somehow poor Norm wound up hearing some mutated version of the rumor, and I guess he's been thinking for several years now that I went to Thailand and dissapeared, last seen unshaven and disheveled on the beach.
