Honestly either the V1 or V2 would be fine for starters. They're both silica wick and it's kinda hard to screw those up honestly.
There is a 3rd kind you can get, the VOCC (vertical organic cotton coil). They'll work in all the same systems, they look almost identical to the V2's, but instead of silica they're made out of cotton. You do have to be more careful with priming these before use. Just put a few drops onto the holes on the side of the coil, fill up the tank, put it together and let it sit for a few minutes. They have larger holes on the side to accomodate faster wicking and thicker juices. I found the flavor to be superior to the first two kinds.
